No, that's actually giving tax money to Congress or large amounts of money to actors. The fact we aren't having rich people running around spending wildly is because the many rich people are not junkies.

No, the money just site in their savings accounts, gaining interest for the rich, without helping the economy grow. Personally, I'd rather have the rich spend their money frivolously, so that maybe then maybe the economy would grow.

Rich people risk their money every time they make an investment in a company and they hope to make money from that investment. The fact they aren't investing is cause they think the United States' current business climate caused by the Obama Administration is a bad investment and therefore will not invest.

Am I supposed to drop down to my knees, and worship the very ground they walk on for making the world such a wonderful place, and for making rainbows and green grass?
This is their country; I expect them to make take risks for the land of the free and the home of the brave, the same way lower class Americans put their lives on the line in military service.

Rich people and military service do not go well together the middle and lower class and the military goes great together like apple pie and whip cream.

Hence, I believe the rich can make sacrifices by investing in their country, even if it may seem risky. It's the least they can do, as they'll never have to face death or being agonizingly maimed on the battle field.

Hell, I don't know if I could survive that! I was - and am - lucky enough to grow up and live in a Pacific Northwest suburban setting. Crime has never been a real problem here, and even the poorer people (my family and I) live comfortably enough. The worst thing around here is the meth trade, and that for the most part stays underground.

While I'm generally of the view that the royal family are a bunch of immigrant welfare claimants, I do have to give them grudging respect for their history of military service.

That in the 21st century the heir to the throne still serves on active duty in a warzone is a pretty good thing for them to do.

That's because in England, the Royal family still has the sense that they're descended from a warrior aristocracy.

Actually, the song and dance routine of blaming the rich for all the problems is flat out propaganda. If you want to look at the facts, I've already pointed out (regardless of the fact nobody bothered to read the source) that Government is largely responsible for the housing bubble and the current recession.

People enployed by the goverment are very rich good try though.

Actually you proved my point. Some rich people in government are using their position to pick winners and losers and make a profit off of it.

I don't think that that was the intention of the post.
And since when had you made that argument, prior to just posting it?
