Hi Vigilans,

Have you tried "Mind Flex" toys?

The company that built the digital hardware is trying designs for more practical things, which could be a great benefit to many paralyzed people. Moving electrons by telekinesis may be small scale, but it's a start.

A person's brain might be in better shape than their hand, so there is always that remaining hope.

hey if it really is true you know there is a prize of a million dollars for being the first to prove said abilities under reasonable experimental conditions

It can be found at James Randi's Million Dollar Challenge.

All you have to do is successfully demonstrate your alleged abilities in front of scientist, magicians, and other skeptics.

One million dollars would buy a lot of coffee and donuts!

it really does up the ante doesnt it??

Surely does, weird how nobody has claimed it yet....

It's not weird, as anybody with repeatable psychic abilities would have no need for stupid tokens of value.

Jesus nor Satan are interested in worthless tokens themselves, but as Puck knows, as all Gods know, even with foolish mere mortals, toying is irresistible at moments. But anything near proof is liable to result in a crucifiction of the so gifted: http://www.google.com/search?q=Skinner+ ... =bks&tbo=1

Also, that's why Oberon is still on guard of Puck sneaking up behind him, and sticking him in the buttock with a hat pin.

oh so all the good that money could do to other in real and desperate need should be overlooked as well??

better that than having a million dollars sitting in an account somewhere dont you think?

there are plenty of evidence to suggest that we as humans need a third party to verify our theories, supernatural power is no exception.

Hi Oodain,

For the first two questions, "oh so all the good that money could do to other in real and desperate need should be overlooked as well??", and "better that than having a million dollars sitting in an account somewhere dont you think?", I at first thought you wished either Jesus or Satan, or both, to answer your questions.

But, to the later inherent question of "or people cant stand to see others lie not only to others but themselves", you appear to wish to only hear a viewpoint compatible to the presently Lesser God Mammon.

Only true believers in Mammon believe that Mammon can create additional bread out of mere tokens, which Mammon can't, as Mammon is currently limited to a closed system for offending most all other Gods. Your first two questions make the implied third most appropriately an implied self-denial of value of truth over Mammon to a true believer in Mammon as being the Greatest God.

P.S.: If Casper becomes frustrated enough, with proper locational allignment, his materialization in front of Mammon will result in numerical evidence measuring the Empirical process of the current Mammonian pseudo-Empiricists' having messed their pants in a quantitative manner, but still of their typical quality matching their rock thought: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp4035832.html#4035832

do you even know how that works or are you really just outputting pure bs,

by that account if i use an emotiv i would be psychic or what?

I haven't heard of that before. How exactly does this function? How does one "move electrons" by telekinesis? That implies you can provide the brain with the ability to control electromagnetic fields remotely on an incredibly small scale. That seems dubious at best considering one cannot possibly know the exact location of this particle anyway

Hi Fnord, Believe it or not, other individuals read different books than you do, and some people even interpret the same books, that you might share in common, in different interpretations.

Not only have I read the Bible, but I have studied in it the original languages, especially during my time at Seminary.

Which bizzare dictionary do you use for the unusual definition of the word "gentiles"?

Merriam-Webster, of course. Nothing bizarre or unusual about that...

Definition of GENTILE:

1: often capitalized : a person of a non-Jewish nation or of non-Jewish faith; especially : a Christian as distinguished from a Jew
2: heathen, pagan
3: often capitalized : a non-Mormon

Definition #3 is not relevant, since the Bible was written before the CoLDS was formed.

Also irrelevant.

Hi Fnord,

I didn't attend your particular seminary in whichever theology, and otherwise Jesus told me that "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" is antisemitic propaganda, despite the imitative flair of klausnerisqueness from distorted Aramaic. The primacy of Jesus versus the primacy of Paul as in any books is not to your dictation to anyone but yourself in your selection and interpretation, and I do not wish to be your scribe.

Next, you will argue that Thomas Jefferson was non-Christian because his bible was of what Jesus said. Why don't you apply your own absurd logic to Newton's Three Laws of motion, and since he had written them down facing the West, the Laws aren't true for anyone facing the East?

You seem to be promoting Empiricism in name only, and definitely not in any valid and objective practices. Your observer bias renders all of your reported observations of empirical reality suspect, and the non-empirical with less artfulness for any philosophy. Your many citations to irrelevancy are so frequent to be self-fulfilling to themselves, and nothing else.

Brain activity, including "thinking", generates electromagnetic forces which can be detected and recorded. The detection, in the theories of electrodynamics, is by generated electric currents of moving electrons moved by dynamic electromagnetic fields, just about like everything else in electronic transmitters and receivers.

Hacking a toy like MindFlex as a cheap summative EEG, with the available data banks, and/or using the Persinger method with the their software with ShaktiTechnology version of the God Helmet, and designing an oral (i.e., mount an ipod in the mouth (of the helmet) (what's "safety"?) with modified solenoids for "headphones") device to generate the imitating "rotating magnetic field" to generate magnetic fields "faking" an epileptic attack, seems feasible:
hacking the toy MindFex: http://frontiernerds.com/brain-hack
Other "God Helmet" articles: http://www.rexresearch.com/persinger/persinger.htm

Servo-Systems are not limited to the toy "on & off" fan. The argument about telekinesis becomes just a dispute over the strength of the electromagnetic fields from brain activity being strong enough to result in a usable physical interaction, which, with modern technology responding too very weak electromagnetics, is now easily achieved. All aspects of an EEG can be exploited for telekinesis projects (in practice, history was limited to moving markers on a rolling paper scroll to detect & record brainwave phenomena, like signs of epilepsy).

Some used MindFlex games are going for less than the S/H for them on ebay. Then, it might be possible to stumble upon a more promising "epileptic attack alarm system" for the price of S/H with a lucky hack or hunch. Other devices/manufacturers are higher priced.

Tadzio

Previously in reference to: Do you mean for a person to purposely induce an epileptic seizure so as to obtain an EEG reading indicating
the seizure? Or for a person to purposely do something that doesn't result in any neurological seizure, but
which results in an EEG recording the effects as being like an epileptic seizure?

The Reflex Epilepsies often provide situations where simple stimuli can purposely induce an epileptic seizure.
Many drugs can increase the likelihood of a seizure, but most all ER's first assumption with a seizure event
is the possibility of drug abuse and testing for possible drugs.

I tried to find possible triggers for my periodic clusters of seizures, but to no avail. Strong Pavlovian
conditioning came closest to inducing epileptic-like aura of intense Limbic fear sensations, but it was
still vastly different than an amygdala focused partial epileptic seizure. "Practicing" by trial-and-error
with an overly expensive EEG might work in a long-run (much like bio-feedback attempts), but learning to
induce at least partial Limbic seizure-like "events" with the "aura effects" from a "God Helmet" might work faster and
more economically, then searching for the effect that records easiest on an EEG. Or, the helmet itself would
probably record on the EEG, but the EEG operator might be sober enough to wonder about the helmet or headphones. Practicing with other phenomena might work too:
