How about we remove men from the workforce to free up jobs for women? Mathematically, that would work equally well if not better.

that is a good idea--i'd love to work in construction if that particular job market weren't so saturated with troglodyte men.

Cut off affirmative action for white women in jobs/education/etc.
Promote affirmative action for males in traditionally female occupations (i.e. K-12 teachers)
Strengthen affirmative action for males (White/black/etc) at some liberal arts schools which are horribly lopsided in favor of females apparently.
There's other related things which can happen but nothing I can think of now...

except the first one, which was quite specifically about women. admittedly i am not american and i'm not sure how your affirmative action policies work (we have anti-discrimination laws here in canada, but i'm not sure if that's quite the same thing), but if you get rid of affirmative action for white females and therefore a bunch of women can no longer find jobs (this would be the result, would it not?)--what are those women supposed to do instead of work? materialise food and shelter magically from the ether? or just find a male provider and stay home with the kiddies?

Well, this thread is not about women. It is about men.
But answering it, white women are one of the most privileged groups in modern America. I really wonder how removing affirmative action will suddenly put white women into the gutter
Also, some U.S> states have talked about doing such.
