Why aren't whites told to go back where they came from?

I think possibly cos the blacks are the scapegoats.

In parts of England it's not that much of a big deal to be Irish settled, unlike in parts of Scotland.

Irish Traveller is different though. Even in Ireland. I struggle against that prejudice myself, I don't want to hate them but I do subconsciously. I watched a documentary on RTE and because nobody wants them, they were living on the side of the road with no electricity or running water. In 21st century Ireland, because of their ethnic origins, because everyone hates a whole race... I bet a lot of people were watching that and feeling NIMBY feelings around it.

I think blacks should say 'if you wanted us to stay in Africa you shouldn't have kidnapped us and sent us to America'. I mean you're NT, you can probably make that catchier but that's essentially what I'd say if I was African American. They're the one bunch of Americans who never chose to come over.

It's just that I indirectly get told why don't you go home quite a bit and I've been told it a few times directly. Not the biggest sectarian insults I've had.

I don't have a problem with people asking (not telling, asking in a polite way) actual first generation immigrants it. Why move somewhere you hate? Why not go back if you hate it? If the answer is 'it's a warzone' just say that. I was told 'why don't you go home' when I lived in a town I hated just referring to my hometown, I did go back to the county I was born in and it was a good idea!

It's a hard sell. I think even republicans accept they are here to stay, but as long as they exist in different spaces (apartheid or Jim Crow by another name).

Sectarian violence in Ireland is really quite horrible that people kill each over different versions of a codified myth. Like Game of Thrones fans fighting each other over whether the Lannisters are better than the Starks. In the end it doesn't matter as it's fiction...like catholicism and protestantism.

It's not over that and it's sad that people outside Ireland (and some southern free staters) have been brainwashed into believing that by Loyalists. A lot of Republican heroes were Protestants.

It's about colonialism. Religion is simply a useful dividing tool in figuring out who the native stock is versus who the settling stock is.

Why should anyone quote Stormfront or use it as anything factual? It's a racist website and everyone should know that even if you've not heard of it, a cursory glance would tell you that...

I'm defining 'actual race' as a species which is either unable to breed with another species (cats and lions) or unable to carry it on for a long line (lions and tigers).

It's not even dangerous to have mixed race kids. For eg, if a German guy had a baby with an adult Chinese woman, she could bear his kid safely. If a German Shepherd (why is everything from Germany so big...) tried to have puppies with an adult toy poodle, there would have to be an abortion or the toy poodle would die because the German Shepherd puppies would be about the same size as her - even though she was full grown.

Yes and when they went up north they discovered that white northerners are just as racist as white southerners, but of course they pretend not to be.

And I wouldn't say these grudges are ridiculous. If yankees really wanted the country to heal and for us to get over the fact that we lost the Civil War they wouldn't be constantly talking s**t about us or rubbing our noses in the fact that we lost.

Yankees are a bunch of sore winners. Typical American attitude when it comes to winning any war.

How would you know about Black folk from the South?Been around them much?Some don’t like Muslims or Hispanics.

When it comes to myself I actually knew a lot of black people growing up in Georgia. Over half my classmates were black and so were my teachers, and one of my uncles is African American. Georgia is one of those southern states that has a very high black population just like Louisiana.

And I've met some black people who told me that they think "white people are all the same" both north and south. Even though I know in my heart that's not true, I can see exactly where they come from with thinking that.

I've known quite a few people from the South.

I once had a very good friend from Texas, a tall, lanky white guy who invited me into his house. He was a liberal person who did not have an ounce of racism in his heart.

Believe it or not, I've met people who believe in "state sovereignty"---yet are not racists. States' Rights was often used as an excuse for Jim Crow policies. They have been used to prevent Federal troops from enforcing school desegregation laws, for example.

The concept of States' Rights has been besmirched by those who have used it for fascistic purposes. In and of itself, "States' Rights" is not necessarily a bad concept.

I lived in Memphis for a year,Little Rock and in the South part of Arkansas,lots of Black folk, some didn’t like whites and I can’t really blame them.Some of the older White racists were just awful.

We have the best food.
