the losing side didn't lose so much as the winning side LOST IT.*

*the plot IOW their common sense
*their sense of basic decency, that they would do this to the rest of us who did them no harm
*their marbles if they really think that things are way better now than they were before november 2016.

^ I’m going with the line that the nomination and electoral college victory if the current president is circumstantial evidence pointing to pre-2016 having been less than acceptable for many Americans.
Same goes for B****t here: you don’t get large numbers of folks supporting these things when they’re in essence content with their lives: all was not well in the state of Denmark.

(Not that that makes the choices made good ones which will lead to improvement...)

Yes, I’m stumped there too.
Maybe the sense of empowerment from throwing the table and everything on it up in the air is sufficient for now?
Not sure...

yeh, good point, the fact that they're successfully SCREWED the rest of us is enough for them. but that is in the dictionary as the definition of "cutting off one's nose to spite one's face."

But who put him there?
I'll tell you.
The corrupt political aristocracy.

Ordinary people had enough of the deception, manipulation and self-interest of the established political parasites.
Trump didn't win the elections,
The other side lost.

We put him there and the Democrat voters put Hillary against him. And yes Hillary would have won the nomination without the help of superdelegates and the DNC.

I agree. I think most of the Trumpsters think in the end the deep state and the liberals and the SJW’s are going to win and they are screwed no matter what so lets make it as annoying for our conquerers as possible before they beat us. Sort of like a doomed army burning everything down before they are wiped out.

Thanks! But in all seriousness, we are most likely going to see another civil war over this mess we created, or at least violent riots and a revolt of some sort. People are angry.

I agree..my "Spidey senses" are tingling about it.

People are protesting across many US States...Trump tweets support for those protesting against his own policies.. meanwhile, the National Guard is being mobilised in Washington. It's like "I'll set 'em up..you guys can mow 'em down".

Meanwhile, over in the land Down Under, we are learning how to embrace Socialism..we sold out to China ages ago..almost 80% of our country is already owned by them....."download that tracking app....it has worked in China so it can work here TOO...oh, the app isn't mandatory BUT you won't be able to leave your home or have access to anything without it so the choice is still yours... meanwhile, try to ignore all those low-flying black helicopters..they are there for your own protection... meanwhile, we want Facebook, YouTube and Google to only print government approved news content and if you try to do any cash transactions over $10,000 that's an automatic 2 year prison sentence and our idea of "lifting restrictions" means that some elective surgeries can now go ahead without needing our approval...thank you and try to have a nice day".

Would that give you some alleviation?

that would smooth over a LOT. that is my single biggest beef with amuuurican right wingers, their insistence that health care should be unaffordable for the working class.

That's a big part of the right's belief in hierarchical social and class structures. For them, there has to be someone on the bottom who are deprived of even things necessary to life, all so those at the top can glory in their status.

The American health system is a disgrace, agreed.

they think that we got too much already and that there are too damned many of us, their gouldian playbook indicates that they would hire one half of us to kill off the other half of us.

What did Obama do?
Did Trump take it back?
