Has the site been removed, or is this my browser being nasty? If all of you guys have done the test, it cannot be a false URL. I am using OpenSUSE with Firefox, should normally accept any such .php URL.

Try this link.

Thanks, will do the test tonight after lunch. I always considered myself a strong leftist with liberal morals but a semi-marxist preference in political structure. Lets see how well I know myself politically.

Did the test...

I am economically right, quite very right, while a bit more authoritarian than libertarian.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -1.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.90

I had thought I had more extreme scores, but as I said I considered myself leftist and so I appear, only more moderate than I thought because economically I have more liberal viewpoints. I am mainly quite strongly leftist in humanitarian and social issues. What the test did not ask is what you find most important, honestly I find economy way less important than human rights and social regime. So if I could indicate that I may have ended up more towards the far left.

Anyway, moderate left wing, guess that is a nice attitude.

Not entirely understanding the number calculations though. In the earlier schedule the arrow economically went quite far right while the vertical arrow was slighty more upwards than the part below the halfway line.

All my friends took it in out IT course and, a quarter were left libertarians, another quarter got spot on or with Hitler, another quarter got spot on with Stalin and another quarter got slap bang right in the middle.

To get a more realistic view on our political leanings, a fun topic would be: imagine you are head of a fictional state and need to make a constitution with basic laws, name at least 25 of those laws and motivate them.

That would be quite a fun topic to really uncover our political tendencies.

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.59

If I took it again I'd most likely only be slightly more to the left economically.

I'm somewhere between Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama. (Don't know how to import the image from my computer though)

Interesting, suspected I'll be in the green square but not as close to the edge, maybe a couple of grid lines more right.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 0.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.56

I think had I taken this a few years ago I may have drifted a bit up and to the right although I doubt it would have been much more than by one or two points.

I'd say life experiences could drift our political opinions drastically, and more conventional to the mainstream political ideologies, as we are more exposed to the mainstream workings and realities of this world.

Sigh.
