There is overlap but they are not the same. The idea that they are one and the same is a creation of “conservatives”. But this is true of all sorts of labels these days. We should resist the temptation as much as possible.

All except for many of those causes that get dismissed as woke were agreeable to the far-left back when conservatives were whining about pinkos instead of woke SJWs.

Everybody wants the best economy that they have seen or heard of on a recent, historical time scale.

For The United States & Europe, that was post World War 2 in the 1950's when sovereign individuals, as part of sovereign nations, were rewarded for serving their nation. Unfortunately, this was ultimately undone by the European Union that turned from being a socialist utopian vision, into a corporate capitalist, hell world supporting nightmare - for the United Kingdom in particular.

Germany & France ate their figurative cake whilst being more socialist than the UK - and the UK allowed themselves to be steered towards economic obscurity by allowing the Conservative Party in the UK to take over. From Margaret Thatcher onwards, the United Kingdom has been on a downwards slide towards predatory capitalism.

I have never voted Conservative.

I voted UKIP at one point because ethnic minority patriarchs, were telling me that they liked the party, despite media propaganda. I had many taxi-ride conversations about this. Having a conversation with a Muslim or a black person who says bluntly that they feel that radical leftism effectively promotes feminism and attacks their identity is very eye opening & immediately gives you the confidence to reject mainstream media propaganda.

Young folks use hip slang that folks on a mixed aged, and internationally populated website wont understand.

Other folks will use acronyms that only they, and their medical specialist therapists, know the meaning of. And like that.

Right-wingers love pretending that they're just chronically misunderstood. Call a right-winger an antisemite, or a racist? They'll imply that you've "misunderstood" their position. Catch them saying something extremely sketchy? They'll act like it was a glitch or a typo or whatever, right-wingers do this all the time because they know that people with high empathy are susceptible to gaslighting.

I never see leftists do this. Leftists are about what they're about, a leftist will straight up tell you what they believe, usually in a snappy easily-chanted slogan. "Black lives matter", "Eat the rich", "All cops are bastards", if nothing else you gotta love their honesty.

The thing is, if it is someone who is socioeconomically deprived who is saying something sketchy - it is probably because of a lack of education, in which case, they don't understand what they are doing in many cases and are not fully responsible really. Some right-wingers lack the inhibiton to stop saying untrue or divisive things regarding politics, many have ADHD etc.

If someone is a boomer, their life experiences tell them that they are correct in their views and they were happiest in the good ol' days.

People don't necessarily do things maliciously, on any side of the political spectrum, or if they happen to be in the centre.
