Well, I WAS a bit loose in my usage of
the word 'aphorism' but otherwise, I'm
pretty certain that I'm right.

Wrong as in "morally deficient" not "incorrect", I took what you said to be correct. Reason I couldn't stand public school is that I hated hearing all the name calling and back-stabbing, that and I can study subjects better by reading on my own and talking to the authors of the textbooks. (They do get tired of hearing me point out grammar and spelling errors though.)

How much luck with rescuing nestlings too? I've been
about 50/50 with wild sparrows and starlings.

What honour? He resigned because he couldn't cope any more. Glamour? High pay? It is a ordure-shovelling job, dealing with the worst of WP. And people have the cojones to criticise us? It's just because we're the biggest, most visible targets, just trying to do jobs that no-one else would do if they thought about it. But someone has to. Or else we'd end up like Intensity.

You have no actual idea what Intensity is really like, so dont go there. If you can persuade Alex, I would mod just to prove you wrong.... Its a serious offer, think about it.

Five birds total. Angel went to MN wildlife rehab. Once had a grackle named Alice, we rescued her as a fledgling and when she grew up we let her go, she kept coming back though. Sad she died after trying to eat too much rice. I loved that bird

BS. It is true that I was tired, and not
getting the enjoyment out of trying to hold
things to the course that Alex charted, after
the last fight. Mr. Mark seemed to have learned
what was expected. Others less so.

BUT, the fundamental reason was a matter of
honor. I promised myself that if I ever WANTED
the position, 'twas time to go - and it was beginning
to corrupt my views. So, I pushed myself into a
position where I couldn't possibly stay on. And feel
much better for doing so. I've been better out here,
than as the mod who wouldn't do anything, but could
only really complain in our little private forum. It was
clear that the ONLY person who ever supported me
(especially after the demoddings of the other free
thinkers) was just as accessible out here, as within
that forum. And I've found that there are a lot more
voices to join to mine, out here.

Once again, the job ain't too tough. You have to cut
spam. How many atomika style attacks are there?
The rest is really to be handled with the UTMOST of
discretion. Purely optional, and only act when you are
absolutely certain that you are right. By now, one would
think that you've been slapped on the wrist enough to have
some doubts every time that you make warnings and threats
against Alex's express wishes on the matter. And now,
since I am no longer a mod, I feel much more willing to
call you on your little power trip.

I am firmly convinced that anyone who desires
to maintain the position is unqualified for it.

Others may not have been so perceptive.



Power trip? calandale, if this was a power trip, I would NOT have bothered with that laying down the law thread. I would have done what I felt like there and then. I am exercising restraint. And moderators don't just cut out spam. They moderate issues. However, there is nothing moderate about this PPR forum, is it? It's everyhting or nothing.
