Rambling? Intolerance? Stupidity?

Republicans hate me, so why shouldn't I hate them as a group?

I'm a transsexual lesbian aspie who believes in universal health care, pulling out of Iraq, and spending money on education instead of military force. I'm also pro-choice, polyamorous and believe in ending the drug war, legalizing it all, and taxing the f**k out of it.

Oh, and I want to foster Trans kids to get them out of abusive homes.

So yeah, I've got something to annoy every single existing Republican. Their entire platform seems to be bent on destroying everything I am, everything I believe, and marginalizing me.

Anyone who votes for maintaining that status quo is actively seeking to vote me out of existence. Yes, they are evil.

I know I'm not part of this back and forth, but your statements here explain a lot. I remember a dear friend explaining to me why she had no place in her life for the religious faith that I hold: they held no place for her, so she could not hold a place for them. Makes sense, really. But it also made me sad.

But is it the best answer? I don't think those who cannot understand are evil. They are unable to understand. Can't they learn? Can't bridges be built? Believing they are evil creates a fortress that can never be crossed, and enhances the prejudices on both sides. Certainly, there are times that is necessary for survival, and perhaps that is why you have done it: survival. Emotional, economic, physical. But what if some progress could be made?

My father was a live and die Republican. Surrounded by a socialist wife and liberal daughters, lol. At his funeral I was speaking to a cousin, who was very close to my father, and who is gay. He talked about how much he had loved how non-judgmental my father was, how supportive of him. I told him that he had challenged my father to a lot of personal growth. See, what he didn't know was that prior to his coming out, my father had held pretty much all the negative stereotypes about gays. My father never admitted it, but he flipped 180 when my cousin came out. Because suddenly he SAW. This was someone he loved and respected, his nephew. That was one of the beautiful things about my father: oh, he could never say it, but he SHOWED it. When my cousin was in town he invited him to meet him at his office, introduced him to everyone, and took him to lunch.

So allow people a chance to change and grow, in their own way. We're all different. But only few are truly evil.

I have a coworker, he's in another department now. He was the only person I hid my sexuality from, so when he found out 6 months later that I wasn't straight, his response was "I'm glad you didn't tell me, because I never would have talked to you otherwise."

Republican's aren't willing to contemplate changing. The only time they shift an inch is when someone shoves it down their throat. A relative coming out, a gay boss, actually meeting a transsexual (that is, assuming they actually *know* they met a transsexual). An Atheist who still has a moral code, anyone who challenges their preconceptions of what is a normal life.

Not every Republican will get that personal epiphany. For every one like your father, there are 2 who will disown their gay child and throw them out on the street. Dick Cheney cares more about maintaining the economical status quo then whether or not his own daughter shares the same rights as the majority of society.

In which case, I won't bother to reply to your (once again) inane rambling. I will simply say this: you have quite convinced me that you're delusional and bitter. Not evil or foul - such beliefs don't need that word, regardless of what you seem to think - simply bent on ingnorance and quite possibly hypocritical feelings. The amount of intolerance you show is a brillant display of stupidity, but is so unfortunately human that I cannot make the same sort of statement that you did in the last.

Have fun with being angry.

Agree wholeheartedly. No use wasting perfectly good ASCII text on this one.

unclebeer -

I dare you to refute my arguements.

Please, I could use a challenging debate.

Tell me why I'm wrong.

And if you have no sense of awareness, then all your volunteering and your charitable causes are meaningless because you volunteer in the direction the government would have you go.. schools and education are sham to begin with.. all the stuff I learned in school was complete crap.. anything past elementary school was basically pointless.

And I didnt challenge your ability to be content in a world of ignorant bliss, frankly I dont care.. but you were debating with me about an issue and that was the debate.. I dont live in fear over the government and that is the point.. Im just aware.. and Ive made my decision on where I stand with it. And clearly you have as well.. but I think its a shame, because you only add to the monster by ignoring it, and influencing others to ignore it along with you.. so your not serving your country you just think you are. The reason I speak the TRUTH is because the monster cannot be stopped unless people are aware of it.. instead of passively letting everything slip by them..
congrats for having a busy life thats probably why you're shortsighted.

I respect your answer. Well, other than the jabs you threw back, but I can see it, continue to disagree, but understand. Fair?

Fair enough

Im sorry to join in on this little debate, but not all republicans are evil. I dont know what your examples are, but Ron Paul is not an evil man. He is my example.. If he proved o be evil then I would be more careful in my judgements.. But let us discuss why he is evil.

He wants to get rid of the income tax, which doesnt pay for ANYTHING accept debt to the federal bank reserve.

... He wants to get rid of the Federal Bank Reserve..

He wants to abolish the FBI, CIA, and NSA, which were all created for pretty bleak and unconstitutional causes..

He wants to shrink the government and stop an imaginary 'War on Terror'..

He wants to keep the government out of world affairs..

Dont you think he has a good heart?.. dont you think his motives are genuine?. He's a republican, but who gives a f**k what he is!.. it's a title that doesnt deserve speculation any more than his views on society and plans for peace in the world. But peace is too much to ask from people that have their mind only bent on FEAR and WAR.. the government isnt here to keep people off the streets, but if someone needs help a republic government is able to rise to the occasion, whereas this complex government now is unable to do ANYthing because they dont even KNOW what they are doing to begin with.. ever since the government got involved in the affairs of its people, the middle class slowly got dumped.. ever since they gave us the RIGHT to own a car, or a house or peice of property..

what happened to the days where people didnt expect the government to take care of them?.. do you feel that the government does these things?.. People should learn to take care of themself like how it once was, and then they will realise there are helpful people in the world.. there is no formula for everything and that is the point of the republic. A stable market economy.. let intelligent people come up with solutions to problems and not rely purely on the damn government to make our decisions..

A transexual lesbian? Isn't that the same as a heterosexual male crossdresser?

Gender identity and Sexuality are two separate parts of the psyche.

I identify as a female, I am in the beginning stages of transition.

I will eventually have SRS to bring my body in line with my gender identity.

That is to reconcile who I am with my own body.

Who I am attracted to sexually is unrelated to my own personal gender.

So, yes, I am a lesbian who temporarily still has a penis, not a heterosexual male crossdresser. And this is exactly the marginalization that I am confronted with on a daily basis.

What does he propose we replace the income tax with? Use taxes?

Use tax places a heavier burden upon the middle and lower classes then does a graduated income tax system. So yes, it is a form of trickle down economics.

The libertarians have been overrun by republicans who just don't want to pay for any of the necessary infrastructure to maintain society at it's current level. At least they're honest idiots.

We have three possible tax models, trickle down, graduated, and flat tax.

The trickle down theory is that if you place less of a tax burden on the rich and the corporations, it will generate more business, which stimulates the economy. The inherit problem with this theory is that the money doesn't trickle down, because the jobs go offshore to cheaper labor.

The flat tax is a fine theory, but in practical application, it places a much larger strain on the poor family then it does on the rich family.

A graduated tax system asks those who are wealthier to support the burden of the tax load. Who benefits most from an orderly society? The wealthy in their yachts with their servants and their trust funds, or the single mother in subsidized housing attempting to keep her three kids out of gangs, and still going to a school who isn't interested in teaching them? If we remove the structure of society, will the wealthy still have their yachts? Will they still have their wealth and their privileged position within society? Will that single mothers life change significantly? Who's existence will experience the more fundamental shift by the breakdown of society? The Rich will, and so it is in their best interest, despite what they may think, and it is their responsibility to shoulder the burden of funding the majority of a society that maintains them in their privileged position. By providing for decent education, housing, food, and healthcare for everyone in a society, the wealthy promote a more enlightened and stable society where they can continue their peaceful dominance. If you don't educate the masses, we fall behind, and we lose the edge that makes us competitive in a global market, if you don't give them healthcare, you lose productivity from them, and you place a greater strain on society as a whole and on their family units due to lost wages and early avoidable deaths.

It is the responsibility of the rich to pay for society, and republicans and libertarians both attempt to circumvent this responsibility for their own personal benefit. So yes, they are looting America, they're looting the future of you and me.

I'm confused (albeit not as confused as you seem to be)...

In what way are you different from a heterosexual male crossdresser?

I mean, aside from your plan to mutilate yourself...

Indeed.

Flutter - when (and if) you ever decide to begin thinking rationally in the slightest, perhaps someone will actually bother to try and change your erroneous beliefs. Until then, it's just a waste of time.

You know, I once spent two weeks arguing with a heroin addict who rather reminds me of you, in that she was dead-set on believing foolish things and sweeping them across to everyone. Different ideas, but same problems internally. I presented fact after fact after fact only to be met with jumbled nonsense from someone who was too immature to consider anything outside of her tiny box. Guess where it got me? No where. So where will trying to hold a reasonable conversation about facts with you most likely get me? No where.
