It was a challenge to so. Quite frankly you overwhelmed me.
and to be honest, "wow, Bow wow, what a great mind!"

Oh yes, you have, thank you :) Sorry for the delay in response, I've had a pretty busy week. I'm having a pretty busy day too, so I think this will be pretty short. This whole thread has been a really interesting read, and full of great minds, just like this site. Sorry my post was so long by the way, and thank you for reading it.

A well put point. I usually bring up Heisenberg's uncertainty principle when discussing this, which says that we can't define something without altering it from its initial state through our observation of it (when you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you...), and since we don't know ourselves or can study ourselves in contrast etc, it's seemingly impossible to ever know.
Then there's the fact that the universe is probabilistic on the quantum level; that it's governed by clusters of particles/energy charges forming a critical mass to go one way or another, based on something not yet clearly determined. Maybe the physicists will find out it's deterministic all over again, but it seems that our minds at least are goverened by this principle as well, so perhaps they're made by what we want them to be, which is why there is a strong point in going through with the former argument, even if caution is advisable as you say.
