Free will.

And why do you think those of us who sacrificed years of our lives, going into debt up to our eyeballs to get a good education, have a moral obligation to provide a better lifestyle above and beyond what they need into the realm of wants for those who have spent their lives indulging themselves?

As you proclaim yourself an outspoken masochist I sympathize with your delight in self inflicted punishment but my pleasures lie elsewhere and I cannot condemn people who do the best they can against very difficult odds and end up in trouble.

If you had the brains you seem to claim you would comprehend that free will is a piece of idiotic nonsense.

Wow that's naive.

On an interesting side note, I think I read somewhere recently that the brains of people who were raised in poverty showed what looked almost like the kind of damage you'd associate with a lesion in parts associated with things like executive function. The idea that everyone is in an equal position to excel in life is not only a misguided justification of income inequality, it's completely ridiculous.

No, its a fact. Its sad that too many people accept the lie that they CAN'T make it. Just where many of the powers that be want you, in your own set of mind forged manacles. Enjoy your life full of envy and mediocrity.

Evidence, please? And citing some diaphanous "free will" will get you no where, as free will is one of the most badly put together ideas this side of the Trinity.

People are not programmed to behave a certain way. We have the ability to choose our paths.

What is choice? And how does it make sense when people's success in life correlates strongly with other conditions, e.g. having a family, being brought up with X values, opportunities - there are any number of things that people do not earn that make them more (and less) likely to succeed. The idea that you can ignore the chance circumstances which affect someone's success in life is comically ridiculous.

Free will is bunk and it's a terrible justification for anything, politically. People are robots.

If that was the case, no one would EVER rise above their circumstances and succeed. Hate to break it to you, but people do it all the time.

But by all means, go on rationalizing your own failures.

Hate to break it to you but people are not simple and all sorts of influences and capabilities drive them. You cannot characterize them with simplistic nonsense.

I don't know about anywhere else in the world, but in North America at least, and the States in particular, Atheists are the most hated, hands down. There are stigmas against discriminating against all other groups in this list... However it is still socially acceptable to discriminate against Atheists.

Out of the list, I say "Homosexuals."

RRRGH I HATE THOSE F%#*S!! !

I would say the most hated group in the world currently would be homosexuals, at least from what I've seen and experienced.

You mean homosexuals who turn without signaling? How about black Jewish lesbians(who have converted to Islam) who turn while signaling?

Sorry for the long wait for a response.

I meant that I think homosexuals are the most hated group in the world. This is just from what I've experienced.

Turning without signaling adds extra "hatedness" to any group. :P

I'd say muslims and homosexuals, probably jews aswell as alot of insults people throw at eachother in school are jew related, even if the insult-ee isn't jewish.
