Trump defended Bernie against Warren's "women cannot win" attack.

Today he's defending Bernie against suggestions that Russians are helping Bernie.

Trump said he doesn't attack Bernie, because he wants him to win.

i dream of a non-dystopian future where bernie wins a landslide, and take the senate with him, and real progress can be made again, to benefit the working class. nobody can take this dream from me, not even stinking reality.

Bernie Sanders is beating Joe Biden in the Pa. primary, Michigan, and Wisconson poll says, and the race against Trump is tight

Quote:
Surging Democratic front-runner Bernie Sanders is leading the party’s primary contests in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, a new poll finds, while President Donald Trump is running neck-and-neck with almost all of the Democratic contenders in those critical battleground states.

The poll, conducted before Sanders’ victory in the Nevada caucuses Saturday, suggests that only marginal differences separate the Democratic candidates when it comes to their strength against Trump. And it portends another general election that could be decided by a handful of votes in any one of those swing states. The survey found Trump trailing all the Democratic candidates in Michigan, but virtually tied with each of them in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin

Sanders, a Vermont senator who has had the strongest start in the primary, has support from 25% of Pennsylvania Democrats, while former Vice President Joe Biden is second, with 20%. Mike Bloomberg, the billionaire former New York mayor, is on his heels at 19%.

Farther back are Pete Buttigieg (12%), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (9%), and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (5%)

In Michigan, which votes March 10, Sanders has 25% support among Democrats and Biden is next, with 16%.

Sanders has his biggest lead in Wisconsin, where he has 30% support. Biden, Bloomberg, Buttigieg and Warren all have 12% or 13% there. Wisconsin holds its primary April 7.

Bernie Sanders leads his competitors for the Democratic presidential nomination in three traditionally Democratic states that voted for President Donald Trump in 2016. The poll of voting-age adults was conducted from Feb. 11-20, and has a margin of error of 3 to 4 percentage points.

Decided by just 44,000 votes in 2016, Pennsylvania is looking at another narrow result in the general election, the University Wisconsin poll suggests.

Sanders fares best against Trump in a hypothetical matchup there, leading 47% to 45% — within the poll’s 3% to 4% margin of error. Biden leads Trump 46% to 45%, and every other Democrat is even with Trump in the Keystone State.

Some 45% of Pennsylvanians strongly or somewhat approve of Trump’s job performance, and 52% somewhat or strongly disapprove. Those numbers were similar in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Every Democrat leads Trump by 1 or 2 percentage points in Wisconsin, this survey found (a stark contrast from Quinnipiac’s result). But that’s a statistically insignificant lead.
Democrats fare better in Michigan. Sanders leads Trump 48% to 41%, Buttigieg has a 6 percentage point edge on the president, and the rest of the Democrats lead by 3 to 4 percentage points.

The Democratic candidates show differing strengths.
Sanders dominates with those aged 18 to 29, garnering 55% of their support. He has less than 9% support among those older than 65. Bloomberg narrowly leads that age group.

Union members in the three states prefer Biden. He and Warren have more support in urban areas, while Buttigieg does best in small towns and rural regions.

The poll was conducted Feb. 11-20, in the immediate aftermath of Sanders’ win in the New Hampshire primary. The poll surveyed 1,300 adults in Michigan, 1,300 in Pennsylvania, and 1,000 in Wisconsin. The analyses of the primary and general elections were based only on the responses of registered voters.

The margin of error was 3 to 4 percentage points for full state results, though larger for smaller samples, such as the Democratic primary.

I can't stand Biden, but this is just disturbing and sad: he tells his South Carolina audience that he's running for the United States Senate.

He needs to withdraw and go home.

There is no way is he going to step down and take the chance of letting Hubert Humphrey into the White House.

The only poll that got the 2016 election right was The University of Southern California, and the leading pollsters there did not want Trump to win. So that is the only poll I follow now. This is the data they have most recently garnered from January 31,2020. Even though it's a bit old now, it follows earlier polls that also show Biden as the Democrat front runner:

I know, it's hard to believe he can pull it out after all the scandal of Burisma. But name recognition is the biggest deal in politics.

I myself am a Trump fan and have been since 2015/2016 when I saw him refer to God and prayer on his public platform. My loyalty and affection for him has only gotten stronger since. It is gonna be a blowout come November.

If you are a Trump fan the actions of the Democrats give you a lot of very legitimate reasons for hope. IMHO the biggest reason for the Democrats to hope is Trump fans overconfidence. I have read so many Trump fans expecting a Trump blowout. This is quite ironic because it was the Democrats absolute belief that no way Trump could win the was very helpful to Trump back in 2016.

JOE BIDEN CLAIMS TO HAVE WORKED ON 2016 PARIS CLIMATE DEAL WITH CHINESE LEADER WHO DIED IN 1997

Presidential candidate Joe Biden appeared to make another misstep during a campaign event in South Carolina on Monday, claiming to have worked on the Paris Climate Accord with former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, who died 19 years before the agreement was signed.

I'm surprised this hasn't come up before. I'm not sure Bernie is even a registered Democrat, and yet he has been winning Democrat party caucuses.

Florida Democrats sue to keep Bernie off ballot

Two Florida Democrats have filed a lawsuit to keep Sen. Bernie Sanders off the state’s presidential-primary ballot because he’s not a member of the party.

The lawsuit, which was filed this week in Leon County, argues that Mr. Sanders is an independent and thus ineligible for the March 17 primary.

“Florida is a closed primary state, yet here we have someone who is an independent on the Democratic ballot,” Karen Gievers, attorney for the two plaintiffs, told Politico for a report filed Tuesday. “You can’t be an independent and be a member of the party.”

While Mr. Sanders caucuses with the Democrats in the U.S. Senate, he runs for election in Vermont as an independent and formally declares himself one in that state’s elections paperwork.

According to Politico, more than 244,000 Florida Democrats already have voted by mail, and the lawsuit asks the court to enjoin the state’s Democratic Party against counting any of them for now.

Nah, I disagree about the overconfidence part. We are just a force to be reckoned with now, and confident in his re-election. And we will not be complacent, but will turn out en masse. Look at Iowa...

The people of Miami don't much care for Bolshevik Bernie.

An ‘anti-communist concert’ is coming to Miami. The city’s government is a sponsor.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Commissioner Joe Carollo don’t agree on much these days, but they were in lockstep Monday in promoting an “anti-communist concert” set for April 11 at the James L. Knight Center downtown.

In fact, all of the city’s elected officials agreed: The commission voted 5-0 to co-sponsor the event at the city-owned Knight Center and said the city would waive up to $21,500 in rental costs, broadcasting fees and police and fire services.

Suarez later indicated at a press conference that he would sign the commission’s resolution, praising what he said would be the “first anti-communism concert in the history of the city of Miami” and the United States.

“Our city represents the stories of countless individuals who have risked their lives to flee communism,” Suarez said, mentioning Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela. “Each and every life that has fled communism has proven how the will to pursue democracy and freedom, even in the face of oppression, can never be suppressed or silenced.” ....

The resolution approved Monday was co-sponsored by Suarez, Reyes and Carollo. Suarez took the opportunity at the press conference to blast Democratic presidential front runner Bernie Sanders, who angered many Miami politicians in a recent interview by saying it was “unfair to say everything is bad” about the Cuban revolution.

“Sadly, even now, we see individuals defend and even promote communism and socialism,” Suarez said. “Just yesterday, presidential candidate Bernie Sanders glorified socialism in a “60 Minutes” interview by defending elements of Castro’s regime.”

Suarez added: “What Senator Sanders conveniently omitted from his colorful characterization of communist Cuba was Castro’s forceful and violent imposition of power, attacking human rights and freedom of speech, thereby minimizing the sacrifice of those who fought to break free from his suffocating hand.”
