I'm sure they'll miss his lively, hard-working enthusiasm.

Suella Braverman resigned her post as Home Secretary under Liz Truss after breaking the ministerial code in a security breach. In her resignation letter she wrote about the importance of accountability and how it was right she should resign.

SIX DAYS later she's back in post, the exact same job under a new Prime Minister.

It was all about taking out Liz Truss. Accountability is of no importance at all. These people make me sick.

I feel like we should have paid MORE attention to what Truss was saying. Since she was a) an avowed Thatcherite hardliner and b) clearly a bit dim, the potential for her to do something reckless to the economy was there. Instead, everyone just expected her to just not really do much.

Oh, we were paying attention. We just weren't given any choice in the matter.

Jacob Rees-Mogg is the laziest minister. He is never proactive, he just ends up in jobs.

I thought it was a bit rude of Joe Biden to get Rishi Sunak's name wrong, but he may have been making the point that the UK is having yet another Prime Minister in a short time and it's hard to keep up.

I think it was more an age thing, like when Reagan called Diana “Princess David”.

Indeed. Conscience gets a politician nowhere. It's a jungle in the House Of Commons.

It annoys me that for the last few years they've just been juggling the same old psychos around their cabinet jobs and there is no one different with fresh perspectives and talents.

i.e. we need a General Election now! Even Tories are saying that these days.

I also found out that Rishi Sunak is twice as rich as King Charles!

Are these the people who should be running Britain and will they empathise with normal, non-rich people? No!

Sunak wants to increase austerity and cut back on everything. What exactly is Sunak cutting back on? It really pi55es me off to see all these rich people telling people who can barely survive on their wages, that they must cut back more and more and more.

:x :x :x

All couched in euphemisms and dishonest slogans such as "we're all in this together" and "taking difficult decisions" - difficult for who? Back in the day, the king in wartime would physically lead his army into battle, taking the same risks as his men did, while these days they just "lead" from the back. No wonder I don't have much respect for leaders.

Apparently now lots of Tory members are leaving the Tory party to join Reform UK.

Supposedly because they weren't happy that they didn't get to vote on who the new PM would be and it was decided by the MPs.

In other words, they don't like the PM being a man of colour.

They should take comfort in the fact that many Indians are 'whiter' than white supremacists (thanks to colonisation).

You hit the nail on the head! They're telling us to cut back while they spend luxury holidays abroad or in one of their 12 houses  :x

Sunak's first U-turn:

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-63429244

Well, it's only a little U-turn, in fact it's not a U-turn at all, just an example of how he "listens to people." I'm sure I heard Liz saying that not long ago.

Talk about re-hashing unworkable ideas though. Years ago they touted the idea of fining patients for failing to arrive on time, but caved in when it was pointed out that the NHS itself rarely runs anything on time.

So my previous tarot reading predicted that a blonde woman would be the next British PM (Liz Truss). But the cards did not give any hint that she would only be PM for a few weeks before dropping out. Unless i missed something in the reading...

Let us see now what my tarot cards say about the newest British PM. :jester:

Image

The Present (Focus) Card is the King of Wands in reverse (Mr. Sunak), this particular card is appropriately drawn with a mythical phoenix, the fiery bird rising from its ashes (he was defeated by Truss but came back for another chance to become PM and won). The King of Wands is somebody with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership qualities, but in reverse he is quick tempered with a short fuse.

In his past I see the 9 of Cups (getting what he wants) and Page of Swords (maybe this card means a backstabber? Like the senate who plottes to murder Caesar? Im not sure)

His future cards arent looking very good at all... The Tower which is the card of destruction and chaos, and the Ace of Swords which could mean a new idea that when in connection to The Tower will not be beneficial to anybody in the UK. Can also mean something being "cut out".

The top card, the 'Alternative Path', is the Ace of Wands in reverse. His desire to create new policies to help the UK will be blocked.

The bottom card, the 'Path Best Avoided', is the 5 of Wands in Reverse. What will ultimately bring the UK down to collapse is all the in-fighting within their own government who's politicians can't agree on anything and are constantly trying to sabotage each other for power (hmm... kinda like what's going on here in the US?)

That is really interesting Death Flower King! Sounds very likely too.

Sunak went to visit people in hospital yesterday and an old lady told him off for not paying nurses enough! it was so funny! Well done her!
