Spookly Mudler what do you think of this quote and this following idea?

There was a study performed by Vox and later highlighted in Hillary Clinton's book "What Happened." It talked about how when the broad American public including African Americans and minority communities were told about the flow of immigrants, they were more inclined to think conservatively.

That those people are xenophobic a$$es that I want nothing at all to do with. I’ll leave it at that. I am first and foremost an immigrant. No matter what race, gender, sexuality etc that they are - I want nothing at all to do with people with views like that.

I was wondering what you thought as an immigrant about the stuff I also said before. I don't think I'd have as much insight as you.

I don’t know psychology of xenophobes. So my view is just one of someone that has experienced the hatred immigrants get and the fear people have of us - no matter when we arrive.

When I was 5 I learned that even if I wanted to I could never become the President since the country is xenophobic - “the Natural Born Citizens clause.” Ever since then I viewed myself as an alien with an allegiance to no country. Why would I ever call myself as someone who belongs to a country that doesn’t accept me? Being a being of the world is a lot better.

That’s how I learned of how people view me.

Recently I broached this on twitter as something that needed to be overturned because it makes no sense at all. I’ve spent my whole life here. Yet a xenophobe had no problem telling me how I and others like me need to be seen as potential threats no matter when we get here.

Yeah I once had some racist ***** on the school bus tell me that Hawaiians can't become president of this country.

Xenophobia and racism is a terrible thing but you know what I do like about this country? We are a true melting pot of different cultures and you can find a little bit of everything here.

I wonder if the natural born citizen clause had the British in mind when it was created.

Or maybe just white colonists in general?

I wonder how people in this country would take to a Native American becoming president?

Considering the vast number who claim to be part Cherokee, hopefully it wouldn't be an issue.

But what about one who was full blooded? They should technically be considered a "natural born citizen" but if people opposed one who was running for president I guess that would prove that racism is still a big issue in this country.

Like take Obama for example when you had all those people hellbent on proving that he wasn't a natural born citizen and became president illegally.

Do you think anybody would have really questioned his status as a U.S. citizen if he was a white guy?

Obama being elected twice didn't seem to prove a damn thing along those lines. I think in one arena racism will be kept alive so it can be combated.

I think if Arnold Schwarzenegger ran for president it would be an issue for some.

Yeah some, but like Trump he has a lot of fans who would be defending him and think that he can do no wrong just because he's a celebrity.

That's why I really hate our celebrities. People in this country hold them to such a ridiculously higher status than anybody else.

Let's see, he's been shot at while on a softball field, beat up in his own backyard, and now harassed at the airport. Maybe if they burn down his house it will bring him over to their side.

Protesters against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh chased down Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., at Reagan National Airport just outside Washington, D.C.

As Paul was exiting the airport Monday, the group of several women began shouting at Paul, asking him if he would call for an investigation into Kavanaugh. Paul did not respond and continued walking, to which one of the women said, “Women deserve better than silence, Mr. Paul.”

The protesters also screamed “shame” at Paul as he walked out. This comes the same day a group of protesters chased down Georgia Republican Sen. David Perdue and his wife at the same airport.

Protesters have continued to confront Republican members of Congress at restaurants, airports, and their offices. Several members of Congress have also had their private contact information and home addresses leaked to the public.
