That's why fundamentalists want the victim to marry the rapist because that is the only way the women gets support without depending on welfare.

It would be enough to at least help with costs, or are you saying she should just lay on the couch all day going from welfare check to welfare check.

Before she was raped she probably wasn't laying on the couch all day collecting a welfare check because she had a life that was ruined by getting raped and pregnant. The Conservatives don't even want to pay for her kids daycare so she can get a job.

If the government is giving her no choice regarding the pregnancy, then yes. The government needs to take responsibility.

6 dollars an hour * 40 hrs a week * number of weeks in a month (let's say this is 4 weeks) = $960 a month (and I'm not assuming he/she is working weekends so amount would probably be higher, additionally I know minimum wage is higher than $6). So we're probably looking at about $1,000 a month, coming in, that can't be taxed and wouldn't have to be reported as income for tax purposes. I think that could help pay for day care wouldn't you say.

And I pointed out the prisoner isn't seeing a dime of that money, the money is going to the woman and the kid, not the rapist.

A prisoner still has to pay for his room and board at the prison. After all the deductions the rape victim will be lucky if she gets 1 dollar an hour.

I worked with prisoners before and they were lucky if they got $135 a month.

Then, the woman and child will just have to die in the street. The Big Fat Christians will just have to avert their eyes from her on their way to church.
