No, that would violate the Prime Directive.

No, that would violate the Prime Directive.

The Prime Directive, Starfleet General Order One, specifies non-interference in the normal development of a viable society. Seems to me that Borg invasion would be non-normal development, and a population of six humans is definitely not a viable society...

If Noah existed at all he was a bronze age dude and totally ignorant of science which was not invented (even in primitive form) until about 3500 years ago in Ionia.

He could not restock his genitals after his son Ham castrated him.

People of faith who insistently wriggle to find logic and a scientific basis to justify the reality of the flood are actually arguing against the infinite powers of God to do as He damn well please to violate any physical reality. They merely betray a basic lack of faith. The flood in their eyes was a punishment from God and has no natural or physical restrictions as to the source of so much water or how Noah packed two of everything in a boat. If God so desired He could have shrunken all life down to the size to fit into Noah's back pants pocket without a second thought. To doubt God's powers is blasphemy, or, perhaps, an unconscious concession that the God myth is total nonsense.

Have you noticed that all the "good guys" in the Bible are complete scum?

Abraham pimped his own wife, not just once but several times.

Lot invited the crowd to rape his own daughters and then raped them himself and knocked them up.

Joseph conned the people of Egypt out of all their money and then Moses "despoiled" them on the way out of town.

Then when they got to the "promised land" they killed everyone there.

I especially like the story where they conned some tribe into circumcising themselves and then killed them all while they were in pain.

God himself killed everyone in the world except Noah's family.

When Moses was up the mountain God said to him "Those people are making a golden calf. I am going to kill them all"

Moses replied "Wait, God. That wouldn't look good. What will people say?"

God replied "Ok, I won't kill them all but you must come out of the camp to talk to me because if I get near them I will probably kill them"

Then Moses killed thousands of his own people but that still wasn't good enough for God so he made Moses wander in the desert till he died of old age.

So tell me about this "loving" and "forgiving" God.

Aaah! but you have no concept as to what God might do if he gets really pissed off.

I would like to know what verses in the Bible say all that.

Creationists generally accept microevolution as a fact, but not macroevolution. As such, Noah didn't need to take as many species as we have now. For example, one canine species would have been good enough for all the dogs, wolves, foxes that we have today. I don't remember the source, but I did read where it has been calculated that all these animals would have fit nicely into the ark. Also, not all animals made it onto the ark. Fish, for example, didn't need to be on the ark.

Macroevolution is the minor changes within a species whereas macroevolution is the magical generation of whole new species.

Greenblue: the ad hoc is actually the notion that the geographically ubiquitous flood legends spawn independently. That they cover the globe suggests, not proves, that there was a global flood; it merely lends credence. Why are you going so beyond what is actually said and mimicking and mocking also?

Where is the geological evidence that there was ever a global flood that covered the whole Earth? As ruveyn said, there was never enough water in the atmosphere to rain down a flood that could of covered the whole of the Earth's surface.

Do you have the ability to search on the internet? Try finding some of it out, I'm not your go-for boy to keep abusing.

Look up things such as polystratic fossils. Try to find out what scientists who are creationists actually claim, such as by perusing sites as

http://www.creationresearch.org/
http://www.globalflood.org/
http://creation.com/
http://christiananswers.net/creation/home.html
http://biblicalgeology.net/

etc. Try to find out what their actual claims are rather than just attempting to ask questions in opposition to straw men.

Thereby you are resenting the necessity for providing evidence for your point. Sulking?

Actually, fish probably would need to be put somewhere given that whatever the flood did, it wouldn't be healthy for a lot of the fish, either it would be too salty, or too saltless.

As for the use of a very limited number of species to create biodiversity? Pretty unlikely given Australian unique species, and just the short time frame needed to create ALL of the variation. Yet, it would be necessary if it was a worldwide flood.

As for macroevolution, well... that's a fact as well. We've observed speciation.

As for creationist BS.... I get sort of tired of it. I understand that as small children, some people had their heads filled with garbage and somehow can't escape the mindscrew they faced, but seriously, why aren't there quarantine camps???

This blog post is likely sufficient to explain the whole issue as well:
http://commonsenseatheism.com/?p=9495

"Researchers say that we rarely choose our worldview for rational reasons. Instead, we choose our worldview for other reasons and then rationalize the decision later, without noticing what we are doing. Our brains do this automatically to protect us from any devastating blows to our ego. Thus, our brains have every emotional incentive to rationalize our way back to the faith of our childhood."

Microevolution can happen faster than you think. I once had a flock of black chickens and a few of them laid eggs that hatched into totally white chickens. There was nothing wrong with them, they had simply produced another breed. Something caused a sudden genetic variation. This was not macroevolution as they were still very much chickens, identical in every way to their coal black parents, just totally white.

As far as Australia and the Americas, I have often wondered if there were multiple Noah's and not just the one in the Bible. Cave drawings found in the Americas depict a story very similar to Noah's, but were drawn long before the white man came here. That may be also true of Australia or it may simply be that it was still connected to Asia at some point after the flood. According to the Mid Atlantic Ridge Global Flood theory, the single continent split apart by the flood formed the 7 continents we have now.

Umm..... ok? Gregor Mendel found very similar issues with his peas that he studied. That's not "microevolution", that's an instance of a recessive gene existing in the population.

Macroevolution[sic-microevolution] is the minor changes within a species whereas macroevolution is the magical generation of whole new species.

You suck at biology.

One ancestral canine diversifying out into all current extant species of dogs, wolves, and foxes is macroevolution. It is, as you call it, the "magical generation of whole new species."

And AG is correct that you have no plausible explanation for the current extent of biodiversity. In particular the marsupials are unexplainable by the flood account. Further, your proposed timeline is not even close to being consistent with the phylogenetic data.

As to multiple Noahs, the Bible says pretty clearly that everyone else died, and only Noah and his family were left. You can't take the ridiculous stance of defending an absurd literal reading of the Bible while making all sorts of random ad hoc additions to it.
