Peaceful coexistence is impossible as long as there are people out there who are somehow able to justify the slaughtering of "infidels". If they want to put down their swords, we'll put down our own. But as long as they continue to make themselves into a threat, there can be no peace. If we put down our own, they will continue to kill in the name of their god. If they put down theirs, then there is no need to fight.

There is no denial of the Muslim concept that unbelievers must be punished. But Muslim societies have nevertheless existed where people of different beliefs were tolerated and accepted so it is evident that fanatics may not be the basic cause of the conflicts.. To assume that the present Middle East conflicts are based on religion alone is exceedingly naive and neglectful of the realities.

To assume that most of the conflicts in the middleeast have nothing to do with Islam would be naive also. There have always been wars regarding economic this or power and control that, but since Medina onward there has been religious undertones to the violence of the region. The Imperialism of Babylon, Persia, Macedon, and Rome have nothing to compare with in terms of zeal as some of the fanatics, or "extremists" if you prefer, present. What is worse for the region is when those fanatics are placed in control of a nation.

The ferocities in Israel are driven by the voracious eagerness for expansion underlined by the vile treatment of the original inhabitants. Afghanistan and Iraq are neck deep in control of the massive oil deposits.. The rest is baloney.

If Israel really wanted to expand and kill off the Syrian populace of Gaza, it could easily be done in a single day.

The labeling of the Palestinians in Gaza as Syrians is rather indicative of a rather peculiar mindset indeed.

Such as, say, history. Yeah.

And by history I might identify you as Cromagnon.

And by avatar I might identify you as a rodent.

Considering your demonstrated ability to misconstrue information in an almost psychotic fashion I take that as a compliment.

My character and your mind are obviously incompatible. It would be a hopeless search of my character even to locate it.

Would the both of you kindly learn to de-nest your quotes? There's no need to clutter up the forum with all that unnecessary requoting.

The conversation has deteriorated into the traditional idiocy anyway. Why bother to read it?

Of course there will never be peaceful co-existence.

I want to do better than you.
I want my family to be on top.

I stand by myself, my family, my town, my country and my race.

If it comes down to "us" against "you" then I will always choose "us"

I will support my local football team against the next town.
But when they create a "district" team I will cheer for the guy from the next town.

Then I will cheer for my state team.
Then I will cheer for my national team against all others.

The only thing that would unite the human race is if we had to fight aliens from Mars.

The obvious proper attitude is to hate anybody different. Like, for instance, people with AS. That's a good start.

The media always creates propaganda about people with AS. There are approximately 45 people murdered each day in the US, but it only makes the news if the murderer is someone with AS or if the murder is unusual. If every once in a while the murderer has AS that's just because of probability, not because people with AS are worse than NTs.

People have predetermined mind sets. They refuse to see the bad in themselves, things, and people they like and they refuse to see the good in things and people they dislike. People like to believe that they are the image of perfection and everyone who is different is worse than them. People believe what they want to believe even if they believe they don't.

People often look at me with paranoia even before I speak or reveal anything of my personality, probably due to mannerisms associated with Asperger's. However, I've found that dressing up like a pirate when I walk around changes peoples expressions from paranoia to humor. Personally, I rather that people laugh at me than think that I'm some randomly evil terrorist monster from klendathu.
