Uh you didn't offend me, I was just pointing out that fact. It is also mentioned in Bernie Goldberg's book Arrogance.

I've heard some people say that when the Rebublican Party was founded it was like how the Democrats are today. Is that true?

Basically, in many respects, the Republicans and Democrats have ideologically switched places since 1861

I wouldn't think surfers think school is radical.

In what way, cause I would argue the Democrats today are nothing like the pre-civil war/Civil War Republicans. First, Republicans of that era were against slavery as a matter of principle, the Democrats today want to keep the status quo while playing to minorities that their problems are all from evil big business and nasty Republicans.

We've seen that Democrats are still the same party as they were in that era in certain regards. The trick is they tend to try to fool people into thinking that they are the compassionate party. The Democrats wanted the welfare system set up so as to keep people dependent on welfare. African Americans whom are conservative (Herman Cain) tend to be subject of vicious verbal attacks by the left.

For many Republicans the principle stand against slavery is still there, a lot of Republicans view the entire concept of racism to be just plain stupid. The reason tea partiers and Republicans want illegal immigrants thrown out of the country is quite simple. They need to respect the laws of this country, it has nothing to do with race. I have no problem with people whom immigrated from Mexico legally. I do have a problem with someone entering the country illegally.

To tea partiers and many Republicans the border issue has to do with respecting our country's laws. It has nothing to do with race.

Are they victims of verbal attacks more than white republicans?

Btw, a white supremist showed up at CPAC only to be kicked out by Conservatives.

Good. I hate those people. Even more so because they try and associate with Conservative movements that want nothing to do with them; but some still seem to listen to a few of their ideas

what if it turned out that most liberals are as ernest in their beliefs as yourself?

Can you stop sounding like a broken record with this race card accusation complex? Just look at the demographics. Most Republicans are in the South, where coincidentally, most of America's racism is from. Are most republicans racist? No. Are some? Yes. Are some Democrats racist? Yeah. Comparatively speaking, how many racists are likely to be in the North vs the South? If you say the North is more racist, I know you read too many blogs

Uh Republicans did not appoint a member of the KKK (supposedly ex member) as the Senate Majority leader back in 1987.
