Thats flat out propaganda

Actually, the song and dance routine of blaming the rich for all the problems is flat out propaganda. If you want to look at the facts, I've already pointed out (regardless of the fact nobody bothered to read the source) that Government is largely responsible for the housing bubble and the current recession.

People enployed by the goverment are very rich good try though.

Actually you proved my point. Some rich people in government are using their position to pick winners and losers and make a profit off of it.

I don't think that that was the intention of the post.
And since when had you made that argument, prior to just posting it?

-Bill, otherwise known as Kraichgauer

I know it wasn't the intent of the post, that's the beauty of it.

Oh, boy! You really showed us elitist liberals. :P

-Bill, otherwise known as Kraichgauer

Question is do you see how it ended up supporting my point or do you need an explanation?

At the risk of hurting your feelings, I really don't care how it's supposed to support your point.

-Bill, otherwise known as Kraichgauer

It really doesn't hurt my feelings, I actually kinda expected that response from you.

Are we talking about the Rich People in Government abusing their office, or are we talking about the rich people with little to no political connections?

For instance, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank got sweatheart loans because of their political power.

Then we have the rich people that are not investing because of all the anti-business garbage coming out of Government.

You need to learn we're dealing with two seperate categories, and you can pretty much guarentee that the ones with the political influence aren't going ot see their taxes go up, it will be "the rich" people they just happen to not like, or just happens not to have a politicians ear.

Rich people love Government and politics because they have politicians on both sides in their back pockets.

Believe it or not a lot fewer rich people have politicians in their back pockets than you think. The ones they are proposing raising taxes on are actually the ones that aren't donating to people's campaigns.

Btw, tax cuts actually did cause an increase in Government Revenue.

Before people start yelling about the Bush Tax Cuts, people should look at the dates as to when the Tax Cuts were enacted, which was 2003. You can't claim that Bush's tax cuts were responsible for a decline in revenue that occurred two years before the tax cuts were enacted.

But Bush's tax cuts have certainly made things worse.

This is the time in which Inuyasha links to an article from 2007 "debunking" the "myths" about the bush tax cuts.

The Housing Crisis caused the problem, not the Bush tax cuts.

Still even if that were true, those tax cuts certainly didn't help.

Actually the tax cuts becoming law in 2003 saw government revenue's decline leveled out and then started to increase 2005 and 2006, we just saw things level off in 2007 which correlates with the start of the Housing Crisis.

Raising taxes is the same action that caused a Recession to turn into the Great Depression of the 1930s during President Hoover's administration.
