It's not that, it is because liberal people can get out of sexual harassment charges because they are not as male chauvinist as the conservatives.

A year's pay each may have been cheaper than the cost of fighting it in court...even for a baseless claim.

People tend to have little to no comprehension on the cost of litigation to both sides of a dispute.


If it were that simple, then I could waltz into the National Restaurant Association building, accuse the chairman of harassing me, and win a settlement.

The Association's lawyers had to have looked at the evidence, and said to Mr. Cain, "Look, you had better settle this..."

Most likely the women had witnesses, or some documentary evidence. Otherwise, there would have been no settlement.

The AP is reporting that Chris Wilson - a former pollster for the National Restaurant Association - has gone on record that he personally witnessed an incident behind one of the sexual harassment complaints against Cain.

And says that if the accuser spoke publicly "it'll be the end of his campaign".

Wilson was described by Politico as a supporter of Rick Perry.

And to clarify my earlier statements, the fact of it being a smear job does not detract from the possibility that it is true.

Apparently a third woman from his time as National Restaurant Association is accusing Herman Cain now. Apparently he also made some "inappropriate" comments to so women at an Iowa radio station as well. Whoops.

Was not President Obama accused of having gay sex and doing drugs with a male prostitute...the male prostitute coming out publicly and willing to submit to a polygraph to lend credibility to his accusation?

How fast did that story get pushed to the floor and ignored?

That kind of accusation is 100 times worse than what is being pushed against Cain, and the media is in a feeding frenzy over it?

Only difference? Obama is a liberal. Cain is a conservative.

the OP is a Paul Fancier the Rumor started in the Perry Camp.
The Dems want Cain to get the Nod (cuz he will be easy to beat) :D

Nope...just pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of one guy making specific allegations and willing to do what is needed to cement the legitimacy of his claim being swept under the rug by the mass media versus what we have now...vague accusations by faceless accusers in an effort to aggressively smear a candidate with the only noticeable difference is that the former was a liberal and the current is a conservative.

I think you my have a touch of the cognitive dissonances .
Crazy claims about Obama ; hes secret Muslim, trying to destroy america, is a Dictator, Birtherism, he is a terrorist etc.
Are being bandied about to this day so the Gay thing did not stick but a lot of crazy did.

But it is not the Democrats making the Cain claims it is Republicans.

It's funny how when ever a democrat or republican get caught up in a sex scandal their supporters always whine how there is a double standard against their party and candidate. You heard it with Anthony Weiner earlier this year and now again with Herman Cain. The vast simultaneous left-right conspiracy is out to get everyone!
