If the Republicans win we may be able lurch onward for a bit and maybe something better will turn up. The idea is to live to lurch on another day.

I seriously doubt he will get rid of the amendments in the constitution..... besides he is in favor of privacy and property rights which is listed in the constitutional amendment Article [IV.]

the constitution has been amended to get rid of slavery and inequality so there for the constitution supports freedom for all, except when jailed for a crime.

I might not be in a position to push things along, but I can use my first amendment rights and peacefully assemble with the occupy movement so that is something I plan to do much more often.....attention must be brought to the corruption in the system. You can keep on waiting, but I'm done waiting.

This statement is complete and other bull****, that's not just my interpretation, your statement is so blatently contradicted by the facts that it's hysterical.
The Democrats had control of the House of Representatives and the Senate from January 2007 to January 2011. During that time they have had control of the executive Branch from 2009 thru today, and had a fillabuster-proof senate from January 2009 till about January 2010 when they lost Ted Kennedy's seat, and the seat Obama vacated.
The Democrats did not need a single Republican vote, so the Republicans couldn't stop anything Obama wanted to ram through, including Obamacare.
The Democrats didn't even bother attempting to even work on a budget while they had control, cause they wanted to hide just how much debt they were shoving onto our children and grandchildren.
Blaming Republicans is outright dishonest Kraichgauer, I suggest you drop DNC's talking points and start facing reality.
The facts support my stance on this, I know that being on the spectrum makes it hard for people to change stances, but the facts put the blame on the Democrats, not the Republicans.

It's as though you never heard of a 60 vote super-majority in the senate...
1. There is no Fillabuster in the House of Representatives.
2. The Democrats basically had a 60 vote super-majority in the United States Senate, the Republicans couldn't fillabuster anything.
Fillabusters are shut down when you have 60 votes in the United States Senate to shut it down, the Democrats had total control of the House, Senate, and Presidency. You cannot legitimately blame the Republicans for Obama's failed policies, cause the Democrats could pass anything they wanted without a single Republican vote.

Actually, I should have said conservatives, not just Republicans, as plenty of Conservadem Blue Dog Democrats had sided with the Republicans, as Marshal had pointed out. The fact is, the Democrats only were the majority in name only - the number of turncoats who worked with the Republicans made Democratic legislative control impossible.

When did I say Paul, or anyone else, was going to get rid of amendments to the constitution? I was just pointing out how Republicans believe in what I referred to as a never never land filled with conservative social and political fantasies which had never existed.

Why even bother voting? The Electoral college decides anyways, not the American people as a whole. Even if it did, it wouldn't change a damn thing, you have too many idiots who vote for idiots, and you only have idiots running. Between that and my own undying wish to see my own country suffer... yeah...
Other than the little rant... let me truthfully answer. I most likely wont seeing as how it truly is the electoral college that decides. Now if it were for representatives/senators, id go and vote, but for a president? Just a damn figurehead except for a few things such as Declaring war (which even then I am pretty sure they would need senate/representative approval.) as well as the dreaded veto, which all it really does is force the bill back into the senate/house in order to be put through an even finer filter.
Basically I would encourage more people to look into electing proper representatives and senators as they are the ones who really decide the course of our country. Just hope they don't get corrupted by lobbyists and such, even though that most likely happen due to the fact that its basically a requirement in order to even survive in DC. Of course im also of the sort that feels there should be both a term limit for EVERY government official, especially in the Legislature and judiciary branches AND an age cap. Age cap to me is needed simply because I believe that we don't need senility clogging up the system.
