'Gay' and 'ret*d'

What do you think of saying 'gay' and 'ret*d' as slang?
I find it offensive to gay people and the mentally handicapped 37%  37%  [ 26 ]
It doesn't offend me but I think it's stupid to say those words that way 18%  18%  [ 13 ]
Makes you sound like you're stuck in the early 2000s and still enjoy Limp Bizkit 17%  17%  [ 12 ]
I say the words that way out of habit but I still think it's wrong 8%  8%  [ 6 ]
I say those words all the time in that context, who cares? Words change meanings. 20%  20%  [ 14 ]

I'm bisexual and I use gay in that context all the time.
I do also use ret*d, but I often "correct" myself by instead using autistic.
It is very, very funny when people tell me to stop because I'm being insensitive to those groups :lol:

What about "stupid", "idiotic" and "moronic"? Those words are the "original" words that were used to describe intellectual impairments but nowadays they're no longer connected to such. Perhaps one day "ret*d" will be the same way.
