By what measures would you place Jimmy Carter below Ronald Reagan?

Jimmy Carte sucked as a president

But considering how he's helping the poor by building houses, I think it's fair to say that he's the best ex-president we've ever had.

If you bothered to study the late 1970s, you'd know that Reagan inherited economic issues from Jimmy Carter, that were far worse than what Obama got from Bush.

This blaming Bush doesn't fly anymore.

I know liberals often think of him as a villain and Conservatives view Reagan as a hero. Since there are more liberals here, I'm not surprised at the poll. Especially since Reagan hastened the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Sure it flies. Reagan had a Democratically controlled house and senate who were willing to work with him for the greater good of the country. Obama has the Republicans acting as anything but the loyal opposition, purposely trying to derail the president at every turn in order to defeat him in the next election, no matter how badly it hurts Americans.

Don't try that song and dance routine, in case you hadn't been paying attention the Democrats had controlled the House and Senate from January 2007--January 2011. In fact, from January 2009 until Scott Brown got elected in Massachusetts because Ted Kennedy had died, the Democrats could and often did ram through anything they wanted, because they didn't need a single Republican Vote.

So seriously, stop trying to rewrite history.

And you're forgetting that there was a significant number of conservative Democrats who had continuously sided with the Republicans. The Democrats had a majority in both houses only in name.
