I couldn't agree more.
I hate my life, being alive and being human. Every day i look forward to my death even more. I would have killed myself by now but I'm a p**** so I have to settle fo rocketing myself into my grave by doing ulhealthy s**t. I'll never have a full life because i don't have the emotional capacity of normal people, I am incapable of normal social interaction and every conversation is torture for me. Let's be honest, you need social skills and connections in this world. No matter how much skill you have, if you're an anti-social f**k like me you're not going anywhere. Not to mention i have an anxiety disorder so I'm always either apathetic or in constant fear.
Knowing birthing a kid who has a disorder that impedes their life, makes them a social outcast and who will have to work 10 times as hard as everyone else to do things that others do effortlessly is evil.
Everyone who says abortion is always wrong is an idiot.
What is wrong with people here at WP? Wishing for your own death is unbelievably silly, especially if you are one of those people who have convinced yourself there is no afterlife. Instead of wishing for our own deaths, we should wish for the deaths of everyone who deliberately made our life hell to start off with (ex. moronic, bigoted bullies in school). THEY should die!! ! !
What the f**k dude? How about self improvement and learning to be a bit more social and not wishing for anybody's death?
Or is that just too sane?

lol...
If the mother feels she can't look after a disabled child and if the child (if born) would have very little in the way of quality of life then it's probably the best thing all round.
When I was very young I reasoned that if I had never been born I wouldn't have been in a position where I could go to eternal damnation if I made a mistake...
The Catholic frakers even blocked suicide as a way to avoid hell...
What a bunch of manipulative mothers they were...lol
Then recently a former Pope explained to the sheeple that <quote> the concept of "hell" was an artist's creation <end quote> and that there is definitively no hell (now)...
Arrg...<rip hair out>
Is there any wonder they have no credibility?....
Simply put, there is no intrinsic point to life, but that doesn't mean you can't make the best of the situation...
This is the best time in my life, now that I have a more enlightened/informed, religious/fantasy free understanding of "life, the universe and everything..."
But why should we inflict this painful and pointless nonsense on a severely disabled innocent?
Personally I see it as an *understandable* selfishness on the part of the parents, often due to indoctrinated nonsense by our social architects...
Whoa...
I'm in an angry frame of mind today!...

I think it says more offensive things about the human condition than anything.
At the same time truthfully I don't think this can be separated from the abortion issue. I might have brought up in a different thread (or maybe earlier in this one - didn't check) that it would be insane to tell women that they can abort healthy fetuses but that it would be illegal or prohibited to abort fetuses with signs of significant disability. Consequently I think this really goes the way of the abortion issue and that's something that'll play itself out to be either increasingly nonevent or increasingly frowned upon based on where biological studies go and what turns our perceptions may take over time with respect to the overall value and status of a fetus.

It used tobe a reason for excommunication, and they said it was automatic but you could confess it and get absolution. In THEORY yes only that year but in PRACTICE they give absolution all the time for it.

My assumption is that you have a connection with catholicism...
Please correct me if I am wrong...
What I am going to say below is not an attack on you...
I am focusing on your overlords...
NEWS FLASH!! !
The catholic church is misleading it's followers!! !
It is engaging in "lies of omission!! !
No need to rush through your absolution in "the year of mercy"! !!
Take your time...
It is business as per usual...
It should be illegal to base your decision on disability. I believe it's already illegal to base it on gender.

You can't force someone to carry to term and have a seriously disabled child that they might be unable to take care of (for financial, emotional, or psychological reasons). That idea is patently insane to anyone with a basic measure of human empathy. It's always the woman's choice what happens to her body--and if she feels she can't handle a child with a serious disability, you can't force her to. Would you seriously want someone who doesn't feel capable of dealing with a child with a serious disability to be FORCED to have that child? How do you think they would treat a child like that that was forced on them? Who would that be good for, anyone involved? No, it would not be good for anyone.
As long as a woman is well informed, she should make her own decisions. We are welcome to be offended, but it's none of our business.
Parents of children with Down's Syndrome should, and I think do, make a good case about the rewards and benefits of having such children. I think the case for Autism is even better.

I'm with you, except I don't care if it was deliberate or not, and dying ain't hardship enough for them to endure, not by a long shot.
