Victims of pedophile priests and imams help create more vict

I think the OP is operating under the assumption that the parents are simply taking bribes because they would rather just take the money than deal with such a messy situation.
I would place some blame on the parents if they did this. Key word being if.
I'm not putting any blame on children/teenagers, period. They don't get blame. Once they become adults and work through the trauma (hopefully) I might have to take a more nuanced view. But it's just not as simple as the OP is making it out to be.

Allowing many other victims to created by silence of previous victims is quite complicated, I agree.
It is still quite immoral regardless of the complexity.

Ok... well I'm not big on getting people to change their minds, especially on the internet. You've seen a little of the reality now and are unchanged, and... so what... as far as I'm concerned.
There are lots of theories of morality out there, and you're welcome to yours. I hope that life does not afford you or any of those close to you, the circumstances in which you will need to exercise it.

Seems I was correct and you do not know how to apply the Golden Rule here.
Quite simple. We are to protect each other from predators.
i'm curious how you reconcile the golden rule, the aim of which is compassion towards those worse off with blaming the people that have to slog through having a sexually abused child and all the sh***y things that come with it.Quite simple. We are to protect each other from predators.
Note the compassion for the next victim when the Golden Rule is properly applied.
Your view of doing unto others seems to be to let the perpetrator just go about creating more victims.

I was well aware of the reality before taking my position and in this instance, I am well into the majority view thanks to the Golden Rule that I have tried to apply to this issue.

I am doing unto all of the victims what should be done by moral people.
Having people do the right thing, and remember that this is mostly the parents, seems to be what you would not do.
Seems you think that victims lose all their social conscience and responsibility just because they are victimised.
That kind of garbage thinning is what creates a lot more victims.

If the justice system was working, I would agree.
We are talking of an issue where justice is being subverted by religions, victims and their parents who take a payoff instead of laying charges to activate the justice system.
