I currently live in Arkansas despite being born and raised in the very blue state of Pennsylvania.
I stayed in the South after getting stationed here because the folks around these parts are just a lot more tolerant and friendly than my fellow Yankees.
Pennsylvania and Ohio are both blue states but with a strong conservative undercurrent, though. I spent some of my growing up years just down the river from Pittsburgh. Philadelphia and eastern PA close to New Joyzie is definitely liberal, no doubt about that. The Pittsburgh / Allegheny County area is blue but not too bad from a moderate conservative standpoint.
Arkansas is the only place in the world that I've ever suffered from a bad sunburn, a bad case of poison ivy, and a bad case of chigger bites all at the same time.
I'm sure I would have had tics as well but my conservative blood was too sour for them.

If I did it would by necessity be western Washington although I'd prefer the eastern part of the state or better yet the Idaho panhandle. My profile location would remain southeastern USA just for the psychological effect it has on some progressives here.

No talent on my part, I'm just not that obsessive about finding other people's posts as if the fate of the planet depended on it, rather than just a petty means to discredit someone else.
I don't see it as petty when you have people on here spouting off unproven facts like it's yesterday's news. People should back up what they say and not act like they are know-it-all's when they aren't.

Just like I told someone else in another thread, I don't have time to prove them wrong anymore. I have more important things that need to be done. When I took time to find whatever it was to go against what was said, I was just made fun of by several people who didn't feel like they had to prove what they said was the truth at all. They don't know how to debate - they just say how dumb they think you are and call you a few names and that's all they feel they need to say to prove you wrong. I'm done with that. Total waste of my time. It is still fun to see Mr. R. and Mr. D. go at it, though.
If anything, your Mr's R and D are two of the biggest offenders when it comes to calling people names.

If I didn't make it clear enough, I don't consider California to be inhabitable due to the invasive politics and regulation. If it weren't for those factors I might very well live there and be happy. It's a nice place to visit if I'm in the right mood but that's where it ends.
You live too far inland to claim to be on the west coast. It's like someone from Asheville, Roanoke, or Buffalo claiming they live on the east coast. I've probably seen the Pacific Ocean in person more recently than you have.

I am confused why a trump campaign sign is supposed to be scary, especially if its put up by a person who actually thinks showing support for trump makes them come off as someone to fear. Not really scary but manufactured offense and/or fear. They might claim that such a sign sets off triggers. or that it is a form of bullying (we've seen that word a lot here lately
), or in the extreme even torture. I can be offensive IRL, too. I don't go out preying on people, they have to intentionally rattle my chain.

I live in the inland region of a Pacific coast state. Happy? I consider mindset and regional culture to be of more importance than exact geography in assigning a city or region to either coast, or to the heartland.
