Honestly I think the Brexit was inevitable. It comes down to the two major disadvantages that currency unions always seem to have: The currency can easily be devalued due to one or two member nations screwing their economy up, and it allows other countries to have a more direct affect on a nation's policies. The EU got hit with both at the same time with Greece and the whole immigration controversy and it was only a matter of time before someone in the union got tired of it and gave the EU the finger. If it wasn't Britain it would have been someone else though Britain's response will likely cause greater problems for the EU than if a less influential nation left.

Plus the leave campaign falsely claimed we sen 350 million when we send around 242 million. It's still alot but they were still falsely advertising

IF THIS IS TRUE Autistics worldwide are screwed because the UK leads in Adult Autism research and are more forward thinking in thier attitudes towerds us. But as the poster above said we are going to wait a long time to see how this all plays out.

That is true and as a future researcher I'm hit twice as hard.

If they rise the interest of mortgages as has been suggested we will lose our house :'(

Agreed. What people, especially the lefty establishment fail to understand is that conditions create leaders as much as leaders create conditions. Everyone is raging on Farage and Boris for "causing this mess", but if it wasn't them it would have been someone else, maybe not playing out in the exact same way, but playing out regardless. The young haven't lost their future, the future they imagined never existed to begin with, Germany has crossed the demographic rubicon, France is heading towards a Muslim pogrom, the southern states are in economic turmoil, and were so before the vote. To think it was going to be business as usual if only the vote had been to remain is silly.

What percentage are mortgages now....and what are they anticipated to be?

What sort of mortgage do you have now? Do you have a fixed mortgage?

Why do you say you will lose your house?

Actually, it is said that they will CUT the interest rates on mortgages after Brexit. They are also saying that drastically-increased mortgage interests rates will probably only occur if there is a "crisis" in the British Pound Sterling.

The Eu will crumble soon and countries will get to actually have their sovereignty once again. The economy will recover, as it always does. Globalism is a cancer.

Many of our papers (including the ones who supported leave) are reporting that interest rates will increase due to Brexit. L

My parents struggle to pay the mortgage now. The Brexit thing had my mum stressed because even a small change could mean we can't afford our house.

Houses are incredibly expensive in england particularly in the area I live.

I guess I'm just angry and upset because my future is so uncertain now. If inflation occurs it's unlikely for them to release the postgrad loans that had been discussed.

I understand your concern. I'd be concerned, too. Too much uncertainty.

From what I read, they won't raise interest rates immediately.

The future is ALWAYS uncertain. What everybody thinks is guarenteed often disappears. It is especially frustrating if you are on the spectrum.

This song was written 34 years ago but is just as relavent today as then

Wouldn't it have been more cost effective to just short the market and avoid the cost of redemptions in your move to cash????

I invest in "management fee" mutual funds, not actual stock transactions, and no redemption fee.

Gotcha.

Nope, it was not inevitable.

It happened because +2% was in favor of the Leave camp.

I know somebody who sent 10,000 pounds to somebody. If it had reached the bank a day earlier, it would have been worth $14,000. Unfortunately, the person only got $13,000 because of a one-day delay in processing.

And now even *Nigel Farage* implies that the UK may still have to contribute to the EU budget...

But where is the £350 million for the NHS each week going to come from, then? :chin:

There also saying that we may have to still let in eu nationals. So all those who voted because of immigration are not going to get what they want

Farage already backtracked on that as well (clip I'm talking about is at 2:25):
