I think we should have troll Tuesday's.It's also discrimination if you don't have at least two trolls on a forum.

I agree with you, it is a terrible system, but it has allowed millions of people to get healthcare.
We should have a single payer system.
How about first we get a handle on pricing of services and bring them down to earth, THEN go from there.
Expensive is still expensive whether it's singer payer or not.
No one ever wants to question why medical services cost so goddamn much, they just want it for free.
If there is a single payer system then the prices will have to come down.
I have question the cost a lot.
I'd rather do the cost control thing and NOT have singer payer but use private insurance. Single payer puts the government in our personal business too much.
The un-insured poor will still get theirs at taxpayer expense.
As a hardhearted, greedy, and evil conservative, I don't condone government regulating prices but I think that in this case the medical industry has brought whatever cost regulatory f*****g they get upon themselves. My way would have every service, procedure, and med over a certain dollar amount to be accounted for item by item to justify the costs down to the dime. Healthcare insurance would get its just f*****g, too. It will drive some companies out of business but oh well.
You can try but it won't get any more generous than that from me.
government control of health care is what millions of seniors have. it's wildly popular. it's the industry standard. it's also efficient. medicare overhead is just 2%, while private insurance overhead averages 12%. just switching to medicare for all would save tons in administrative costs. the purpose of the government is to promote the general welfare, the purpose of an insurance company is to make money. which of those sounds more likely to make sure you get good care?
I see my post flew right over your head.

Liberalism for the sake of trollery more than anything.
Besides, we've had at least one liberal here that said all conservatives are trolls. With all the libs in PPR it would be a target rich environment for any conservative troll worth his salt. The butthurt potential is absolutely phenomenal. If I weren't so nice and good natured I'd take the position myself.
I like the troll Tuesday idea of yours. Take that one Tuesday a week and make it a total troll-o-rama. The most horrendous personal attacks with nothing held sacred and the whole works...
All in good fun, of course.

Previously discussed thoroughly enough.

Currently you have a insurance company running your life, is that better of worse than the government?
It's employer provided and something I've rarely needed so far. I can always change insurance companies and plans, I can't very well change governments.

Dont we change governments every 4-8 years?
A tin foil hat wont change the fact that we voluntarily carry a tracking device with us all the time.

Depends on whose feelings are hurt and who does the hurting.
You'd be surprised at some of the TOS's I've received.

Accredited and subsidized businesses are effectively organs of the state, with interagency cooperation happening, matter-of-factly. Realistically, this won't get put on trumpet. It's going to get topposted and buried, without anyone realizing the practical consequences.
