Muslims say; religious freedom for me, but not for thee.
"Nor take life -- which Allah has made sacred -- except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand retaliation or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life, for he is helped (by the Law)." [Quran 17:33]
"And fight in the cause of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah) until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the reward of the unbelievers. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors." [Quran 2:190-192]
In other words, it's only acceptable to attack those who attack first, and if they desist then you do as well.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Obviously. But I will also oppose a thelemic theocracy.
I think a theocracy goes against the spirit of Thelema. Those who are fit to lead will naturally lead, and those who are fit to follow will naturally follow. The True Will doesn't need to be enforced.
However appealing it seems to hold people at gunpoint if they put themselves in my way, and demand that they go on about their own business, I don't think it would really work.

I don't think that's really how it works, but the Aeon is still young, and the shadows of Osiris are still lingering in the west. That's why it's worded in future tense, "do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."
Yes this is directed at the OP. They claim logic while having no actual accredited resources and while posting arguments that are entirely emotionally worded and based on their personal opinions.
It is my personal opinion for sure, based on the data.

"The data" which is unsubstantiated sources. Again, this is opinion, not fact.
I have nothing against Islam. It's just another Abrahamic religion, like Judaism and Christianity. I'm an Atheist, so have no interest in Islam in a personal sense anymore than I do the two I mentioned or any other major or minor league religion. I think that most of the pieces people take offense in from the Qur'an are generally mirrored somewhere in the Bible. I also think Christians have a tendency to be incredibly intolerant of other religions, and in my country seem determined that their religious beliefs should determine our laws, but don't get much vitriol for it. I also know a number of people who are Islamic and they're perfectly decent people. Most practitioners are. Extremists aren't an entire religion - should Christianity as a whole be judged by the KKK or the ones who bomb abortion clinics?
I don't agree with that, let me explain. The difference between Islam and Christianity is that the qu'ran encourages people to become Jihad( what we see as radical terrorism) and granting them a reward for fighting in the name of their god. The first Jihad was Muhammed, he is a role model for many Muslims. And if you read the qu'ran you can find many of the cruel deeds he performed. Terrorists are only following the instructions given to them by their holy book and prophet and they expect to be given a reward for doing so. And if any Muslim argues otherwise or says that's not true. He actually says his prophet and god are both a lie, which is blasphemy. Putting them in apostacy which has the death penalty in Sharia law.
Ok. now lets move on to the Bible. Christians believe in the teachings of Jesus. And Jesus says we should love our neighbour like we love ourself. Your neighbour is literally anyone you come across(This includes homosexuals, rapists, murderers, nazi's, black people, white people, you get the point). We are expected to love them unconditionaly. A Christian extremist is someone who obeys these teachings of Jesus and wouldn't dare to harm anyone. Making a KKK member a non extremist.
Pff, that was a lot of text. If you are going to point on Deutonomery and Leviticus now you will wear me out
Ah, I hate to break.it to you but jihad is a lot broader than you seem to think. It literally just means struggle. In a religious sense, as described by the Quran and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (s), "jihad" has many meanings. It can refer to internal as well as external efforts to be a good Muslims or believer, as well as working to inform people about the faith of Islam.
The Bible is incredibly violent and God is described as a "jealous God." Also you literally just lumped gay people together with rapists and Nazis great f*****g job lmao. The Bible does not preach unconditional love either lol. And Christianity was still taking over other lands in their name (violently) into the 20th century. Next.
The KKK identifies themselves as a Christian group my guy. If they say they're Christian then that means their Christian, since by your logic if a terrorist who also practices Islam is still Islamic (I can't remember the exact quote, but in the Qur'an it says that to kill on person is to kill all of mankind - therefore they are going against their own religion, and by that basis are not actually true practitioners anymore than members of the KKK are by your standards).
"It is called herem, and it means total annihilation. Consider the Book of 1 Samuel, when God instructs King Saul to attack the Amalekites: "And utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them," God says through the prophet Samuel. "But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey."
When Saul failed to do that, God took away his kingdom."
Consider that lol. Christian white supremacists are also known to bring up Phineas when calling for racial purity.
You obviously don't know what you are talking about. A Christian is the term to describe followers of Christ. People who are followers of Christ try to do the will of Jesus. The KKK doesn't do the things Jesus asks them to do but instead do the complete opposite. Meaning, they can't be Christians. If you read the gospel you can see what Jesus asks of us. I highly recommend it before anyone tries to make any argument against Christianity.
Try reading the chapter qu'ran 5 verse 32-37, there is more context in there about the things you tried to quote. Why not read the whole book while you are at it. You can't just throw out random quotes from a book and say, look guys Islam teaches peace. You should read it in it's whole context and after that you will understand the quotes in the grand scheme of things. You left out the most important part of your quote.
Yes God is a jealous God this is indeed true. God's point of view is not our point of view. We forget that. We judge Him by human standards, but He is not human. He is something completely other and cannot be judged by any standard but the one He sets for Himself. For God, jealousy is a measure of His devotion, his passionate caring; for him it is a fire that consumes His enemies (Deuteronomy 4:24; Zephaniah 1:18) but it also protects and provides (Joel 2:8 and Isaiah 9:7) for those who belong Him. This quality--something we tend to think of as possessiveness--should probably more accurately be translated "loyalty" in English, for this is the way God uses it. He is absolutely dependably loyal; he keeps his word even when we don't keep ours. His call is irrevocable... This is the loyalty He gives and this is the loyalty He requires for it is the measure of true love and commitment.( this is a quote from someone else J.Hawk)
And yes I did just throw homosexuals alongside nazi's and rapists. To put emphasize on the fact that nobody is excluded no matter what horrible things he does. I don't know what you are saying however? Are you implying that I should love homosexuals more than I love rapists or nazi's? I'm asked to love unconditionally my friend and I'm not going to give one group benefit over the other.
I'm now going to read 1 Samuel to further our conversation and I will answer that in a short while aswell. I'm sure God has a perfectly good motive for the things He does, I trust Him. I'll do my part and let God does his part. For now I'm asked to love God with all my heart, mind, soul and strength and love my neigbour like myself. So I'll try to do just that.

Both Christianity and Islam should be judged on their moral value.
An intelligent observer will see that they both created intolerant, homophobic and misogynous religions that they deny women and gays equality under the law. They also both grew themselves with the sword instead of good deeds and are therefore unworthy of being called moral ideologies.
Moral people will agree.

Muslims actually believe in living by the law of the land they live in, just because a certain culture of a small subset of muslims are extreme does not mean the rest want to take away the religious freedoms of others. You could compare that to Britains First who want to get rid of religious freedom, doesnt mean every single british person does.
Indeed. They are cut from the same immoral cloth. Dying from an Inquisition or a Jihad makes no difference to the dead.
Both religions have grown by the sword instead of good deeds.
Jesus said we would know his people by their works and deeds and he would not recognize either Christianity or Islam as his people.

That seems rather self-centered and goes against what might be the only objective moral tenet I can think of.
The good of the many outweighing the good of the few. No?

Yet in most lands where they get even a small minority, they try to have Sharia law implemented.
Even in Canada and the U.S.. The majority irrelevant when it is the minority leading the agenda. The majority of good Muslims are the ones putting their coin in the collection tray and funding the minority.

A statement like that needs a citation. And no, hate crime laws aren't commonly part of Sharia law.

A while ago, some Muslim radicals tried to set up a Sharia court in Ottawa. In response, there was a huge protest. It wasn't just conservatives protesting. There were feminists and moderate Muslims in the protest too.
In other words, Muslims have become nicely integrated into Canadian society. The rest of the West should follow Canada's example.

I remember the hysteria about cartoonists drawing their prophet. The response wasn't "That offends me, please stop" it was "You or your family could get killed, just saying..."
Of course I don't think its right to keep Muslims out, but I have no problem reminding them that their sky fairy doesn't get preferential treatment around here

I don't hear conservatives crying about other notable art exhibits getting shut down over bomb threats. Of course, it's different when conservative christians deliver the threats.
