I don’t think I implied suffering is a choice. I agree with you there.
In New Zealand, poverty is a choice for many because our government offers poor people the tools, funding and medicine to get out of their situation. Instead they blow their money on cigarettes and spraypaint, breed irresponsibly and then blame the right for their situation instead of themselves.
It probably is less of a choice in the US where the health care system is absurd.
It definitely is not a choice in a place like Africa.
