Antifa vs Capitol Hill

What was the goal of the people who tried to storm the capital building, or what did they hope to get out of it. Since explosive devices were found, did they just want to plant bombs and blow the building up?
My opinion is they wanted Trump to stay president so they figure if they do this, congress will give in and say "Alright, you guys win, there was voter fraud, we are so sorry, here is your president, he will stay."

I'm really surprised they thought that would work though. Why do so many people in the U.S. take the election so seriously, to the point where one side feels that one canditate is the devil, and the other thinks that candidate is literally Jesus Christ come back from the dead to save the world, and vice versa, from the other side? Can't people just be good sports about an election?

Oh sorry, the OP mentioned them so I thought they were the ones. I see now. But even so, what makes these trump supporters think this plan would work? Governments do not listen to fanatics.
Governments don't listen to fanatics, unless the fanatics make such a show of force that they overwhelm the government and force it to cooperate out of fear.

Yeah and these extremists are full of empty gestures, and bluffs that they think will work.
White supremacist extremists have engaged in mass violence before, and sometimes it has worked:

True, but these extremists are amateurs so far it seems, thinking it will work it seems.
I'm sure their failure will be of great comfort to those they harm in the process. Timothy McVeigh failed too.

Once it went to the courts and wasn't accepted, that should have been the end of it.

Yeah true, you're right, it will not be a comfort to those who are harmed in the process. It's just Biden and Harris are most likely not going to change the country around that much, I don't think, so I don't see what the big deal is to people, who don't want them in.
I agree, they're unlikely to significantly improve things, but it's at least possible that they'll stop making some of the problems worse. Since Trump's political career was depended upon those grievances he had no interesting in improving them and every interest in contributing to them.

The Trump lovers and the right were convinced the democrats would ruin our country and they don't like women having more rights and minorities and gay people having more rights. Trump wanted to reverse all this. They do not like the poor or those with a low IQ or else they wouldn't be so anti welfare and keep calling it socialism. They do realize that lot of poor people are not very smart because of their limited IQ does not allow them to go to college and get a career. Plus if they want less people on welfare, fix the damn educational system by making it be affordable. They also got rid of free grants for students who come from poor families because the right thought this was so unfair right? So they would rather have more "welfare queens?"
Silly right wingers, they can't seem to make up their minds. What a shame. Many of these people were also Trump Lovers.
This has proven to me that the US is ran on white supremacy because it came to this. They don't want the minorities and women to have more rights to make it fair. They want to reverse everything and have it be like the olden days.

Oh okay. But is not having educational opportunities, or gay people not having as many opportunities, or women not, really a "white surpremacist" thing though?

Under trump, there was a great surge in jobs for the coloured demographic.
The workers who gained the biggest percentage wage increase were the lowest paid.

As you probably heard, a lot of Trump allies disassociated themselves from him and called for his removal from office due to the riots he encouraged.
But now think back to antifa riots this Sumner and how the Democrats weren't willing to condemn them. Sure, Republicans and perhaps independents condemned them. But I am not talking about that. I am asking how many people are willing to condemn their own party. Because we saw a lot of *Republicans* condemning Capitol Hill event. So the natural question is how many *Democrats* were condemning what antifa did this summer.
This seems to suggest that Republicans are more willing to condemn their own, at least when it comes to violence. Maybe not other things though. I mean Republicans did make lots of excuses for Trump in other areas. But at least in case of violence they do appear to be more self critical than Democrats.
Also note that antifa riots lasted the whole summer while Capitol Hill riot lasted only few hours. Also antifa riots resulted in permanent damage to property while in case of Capitol Hill they just met few hours later. Yes the capitol Hill killed four people. I don't know if antifa killed anyone but I would guess they probably did and probably a lot more than four, although I agree it is just a guess.

Dems have condemned the BLM riots.
Antifa is not the Democrats' "own" anyway. Antifa doesn even exist an organization anyway. BLM at least is an actual thing. However the rioters at Capital Hill do, in a real sense, "belong" to the GOP because they were self identified Trump supporters, and they were egged on by ordered to riot by Trump.
Most important: what the Capital Hill rioters did was far worse. The BLM riots did not storm the Capitol, they did not try to over throw the Government, and most important: they were not trying snuff out democracy by trying to overturn and free and fair election - the way the Capitol Hill rioters were.
So the GOP congress people had a lot more to apologize for in the Capitol Riots than the Dems did for the summer riots.

Dems have condemned the BLM riots.
Only after the Democrats were losing politically, because of the rioting.
