[color=black]This is what makes whether or not Trump has been silenced a moot point -- posting on Twitter is a privilege, not a right, and Trump abused that privilege.

And was silenced.

Crying because you are not allowed to play with the big kids anymore when you could instead invent your own games and not invite the others is pointless.  Little Donnie can just code his own social platform, call it whatever he wants, post whatever he wants on it, invite whomever he wants to join it, ban whomever he wants from it, and believe that he rules the Internet.

Problem solved.

Yes, he can become a publisher.
So can you. 8)

Here is an easy-to-follow guide that even someone like Trump could use effectively:

I could add more to the list, but that will suffice for now. All of them independent progressive journalists who have been demonitized and smeared in MSN and social media? Their crime? Being against war and criticizing the political establishment.

Trump is irrelevant to the points I'm trying to make.

Gosh! It's like talking to children!

The algorithm is all made up anyways. Who cares what they do with it. Besides, "manipulating the algorithm" doesn't mean the tweets vanish or become invisible, or that you can't access them. It just means twitter isn't smearing them in peoples' faces as much. It's funny how people are selectively ok or not-ok with private businesses exercising their legal and lawful right to refuse business to any customer for any reason, and to follow the terms legally defined within the end user license agreement. But, y'know, "So UnFaIr tHaT aCtIoNs HaVe CoNsEqUeNcEs!! !"

Again - Trump repeatedly and flagrantly broke the site's rules and was kicked off it as a result. This has bugger all to do with his politics.
Like WP, he posted there subject to certain behavioural rules and like a house guest crapping on your TV, he was removed.

Conservatives should look at it this way, boys:

Think of Twitter as a Christian bakery, and Trump as a gay wedding cake.

It's funny how much some people champion for "personal freedom" even if it "offends" people, right up to the moment when someone ELSE'S "personal freedom" starts to "offend" them. It really seems like when they talk about "personal freedom", they really just mean THEIR OWN PERSONAL freedom, and not EVERYONE's "personal freedom".

It often leads to such idiotic statements as "If they don't stop cAnCeLiNg things, I'm not going to do business with them, and make sure nobody else does, too!" So in other words, you're gonna try to cancel them. Genius

What fragile people they must be. They're given a global megaphone (social media), that can reach across the entire planet, an amazing feat, formerly impossible to even the most powerful people in the world, and since they're ONLY being heard by scant TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, rather than the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE their flaccid ego demands, they think they're being "silenced". Like seeing people on the news complain about being "silenced" - yo, you're literally ON THE NEWS, RIGHT NOW, complaining about it. Yet they act like they've literally been tackled gagged and muzzled, locked into an iron mask, and are sitting there now just making muffled grunts and engaging in pantomime.

Sounds like the same privileged nonsense of believing you shouldn't be punished for a crime simply cos they "didn't MEAN to break the law!" Fun fact! Not all crimes require intent, and not all crimes require success, to be prosecuted and convicted. Manslaughter, and attempted robbery, for example. You still get punished, even if it was an accidental death, or even if you didn't actually succeed in the robbery, respectively.

It's like some people think, if you're not experiencing the maximum amount of joy and pleasure and freedom you can at any given time, you're "suffering" cos you're less happy and free than you COULD be.

Such fragile people...

Manipulation has been the name of the game for Tech giants for almost a year now. Facebook promotes Elon Musk (Suggested for You) and everything Covid-19 related. YouTube does a lot of silencing. Twitter is to avoid, possibly like Instantcrap.

I'd say upranking Covid content may well be the only legitimately useful thing Facebook has ever done/

Based on my sources, twitter is a "left-wing sewer", quote.
I don't have a twitter or facebook account, but I think the observation is correct when I see snippets of twitter posts on the news outlets.

But then, perhaps I am wrong, based on 'fact-checking'.

Pepe, I'm pretty sure you're incinuating moral inferiority is a core aspect of disagreeing with you.

Clearly you're more interested in talking over everyone who does so than legitimately debating any single points so I haven't been responding lately.

I don't go calling your right wing country a sewer.
