Really? PC pertains to very minor corrections in speech to not inflame, vilify or demean other people. How is this problematic for autistic people to learn. We don't need to crucify autistic people for saying something innapropriate in the same way I would give some license to somebody with Tourettes syndrome not being in control of swearing like a sailor.

Your definition MIGHT have been true back in the 80s and 90s but now it has devolved into language policing to enforce a revolutionary agenda.

Now who has the issue with changing definitions :lol:

I think that at least for conservatives, the term Politically Correct has just become anything progressive that they don't like. Like people expressing any thought against a form of bigoted and it is political correct. Like being told that a boss cannot sexually harass his secretary, means that they are being held down by political correctness. They can't treat their daughters like property, it is political correctness. Can't say a racial slur, its political correctness.

Just been a long line of conservatives redefining the terms.

I would say Political Correctness was the toddler version of woke. It was about not allowing certain words and using euphemisms in their place in order not to offend. There was no overt ideology or worldview behind it.

I'd argue 'political correctness' was an earlier version of the same hysteria. Rush Limbaugh used political correctness like Tucker Carlson uses cancel culture. Either way the goal is to dismiss criticism without having to consider it.
