Capitalism Does Not Drive Innovation

I'm also an easy target for workplace discrimination due to my sound allergy disorder. The likelihood of me getting fired increases as I can't handle bullying. I could sue, but workers and consumers don't have the power they used to have anymore. A rich man in bed with politicians has more power to deny my rights than I have power to stand up for myself. Every time I get paid by SSDI, I thank the mighty Tah-Um we don't live in a world where socialism is completely outlawed for now. Some socialism is good while capitalism is unregulated enough that we are staring in the face of Oligarchy.


I can't really think of any capitalist states that leave people like you to fend for themselves. Completely unregulated Capitalism will probably allow that to happen, yes, but there are pretty clear laws to prevent trampling on others and I doubt very much any such scenario of a zero welfare state will ever happen.

What do you mean by sound allergy too? Like sound sensitivity?


Sensitivity to a specific list of sounds such as:
Burping
Lip Smacking
Lip Popping
Coughing
Throat Clearing
Tongue Clunking
Sneezing
The scraping of cardboard edges against cardboard surfaces.
Country Music
Hip Hop Music

Oh, capitalism does certain things amazingly well. It's the stuff that it doesn't do so well that concern me. It "innovates," sure, but usually only when profit is the motive. There are problems to be solved for which there is little to no profit to be had, therefore, capitalism provides no answers.

Which brings us back to democratic socialism. My understanding is that the term is meant to describe an inherently capitalist framework with heavy socialist overtones. Amusingly enough, my staunchly socialist pals tend to reject democratic socialism on the grounds that it is still capitalism.

Social democracy or socialism. One is taxing people to death and the other is taxing people to death with interruption to business. It's all the same to me from what I see in countries which do or have run such principals. Not a single Swedish person I spoken to actually likes the amount of taxes they pay and don't even get me started on 70s UK and what people thought if living through that.
