Some might call them Indians
I think Americans (especially whites) are so traumatized after being demonized for so long over what their ancestors did to the American Indian, that they are willing (in the name of political correctness) to roll out the red carpet, empty their wallets, and usher in the destruction of their culture on behalf of an unappreciative unassimilating uncivilized tribe, even if its the wrong one. The really messed up part is that nobody in the history of the American southwest hated Mexicans more than Native Americans.
I'm actually rather civilized. I eat with a spoon, fork, and other such utensils. Sometimes, I wear a tie.
Actually, I've come to embrace my new culture quite well. Generalizations are usually wrong
Edit: Supposedly, I'm even part Jewish! Ancestors are from some long forgotten part of Spain, and then they went to Mexico. As you can see, pinning down exactly my race is not very easy. I should become a lawyer though, maybe my Jewish blood from the time of the mayflower will give me super powers.
