Men have certain rights as well, girls.
men have the right to masturbate whenever they want, and can keep their sperm alive in a goldfish tank if that's what they want. Like everyone else, however, their rights end where another person's rights begin. Women have the right to determine what to do with their own bodies; suggesting that marital rape should be legal is a continuation of the idea that women should not be able to determine their own pregnancy, not the inverse of it.
Ignoring the ridiculous nature of slowmutant's comments, I would like to talk about the goldfish tank. I have a 20 gallon tank with 2 thermostat controlled heaters - it's never had fish in it, I bought it for producing tempeh and yogurt (at 86 degrees F and 104 degrees F, respectively). Exactly how would one use such a device to preserve sperm? Keeping it at body temperature is no problem, but wouldn't they respire themselves to death in a few days, best case? How does one feed them, and prevent the growth of microbial contaminants? Would it not be better to freeze it in liquid nitrogen, as the sperm banks do??
Did I mention that slowmutant's comments were ridiculous - even more so than mine?
For utmost preservation, yes: liquid nitrogen is the way to go. However, if you want to keep them as pets with a semblance of 'life' (granted you would need a microscope to observe them, like looking at samples of pond water), they would need a tank. I imagine quite a small tank would do, like one keeps siamese fighting fish in. You would need isotonic saline for a base medium, rather than just tap water, and I imagine that you're right about bacterial growth; you'd probably need to treat the tank with antibiotics and/or antifungals on a fairly regular basis.
As for how they are fed, they are small enough to simply absorb nutrients across their cell membranes, so occasionally dissolving glucose into the water should work. I don't know what a sperm's 'natural' lifespan is - probably not more than a couple of days - but with a healthy young guy I imagine there would be new populations being introduced on a regular basis.
ladies are "layers" of internal eggs.
they should be regulated by the egg board.
most ladies are free range egg layers, but some are caged layers.
theoretically, a man can impregnate 3 girls per day.
a man can have thousands of off spring, and a woman can only have max 30.
(one every year from 15-45).
she gets her genes passed on 30 times in a spectacular best case scenario of a life.
a man can have thousands of offspring, so i therefore say that men are the guiders of the race as far as who they choose to mate with.
women build nests and men build monuments i guess.
i only said this because some girls are getting "precious" and saying bad things about males.
i care not one iota about abortion.
but i would never squash a life (that i did not know was alive or not) because i could not be bothered to care for it.
that is my way of being, and if you want to kill your problems, then that is your way, and i do not care.
but i do not respect you.
who cares anyway.
my "respect" is feeble and not worth having, but i think selfishness is a bad thing.
i like girls much better than boys and all my friends are girls (except 2).
but i do not like it when they try to be superior to me by saying only they can give life.

I advocate human rights heavily as well, despite being non religious. But an unborn to me has not got these rights. The word "human" in the term "human rights" to me explains that these rights apply to all living persons. An unborn in my theory is not a living person yet. Hence, the wish and emotional stability of the mother (= living person) is always priority over the unborn (= non developped form of life, thus no living person yet). If abortion can make the mother feel more comfortable for whatever reason, this choice is hers to make and ours to respect. Human rights dictating someone should just have an unwanted child and accept that for life, are basically worthless human rights who do not take the emotional wellbeing of the person in consideration at all.

All things in excess are bad. Being completely selfless, for instance, is also bad. There is nothing wrong, Nothing, with being a little selfish. Otherwise you'd lose your sanity as well as yourself.
And some problems can't be solved by any other means than killing. Try getting rid of a lice infestation, or a bed bug infestation, or a tick infestation, or a tube worm infestation, or a flea infestation, or a german cockroach infestation and you'll be stuck with your infestation living in a disease ridden squalor. You may welcome such living conditions or be willing to put up with them, not I. And there is nothing to respect about putting up with such malaise, nothing at all.

Well you see, its pretty clear that pro-lifers have ulterior motives. They have an agenda and eliminating abortion rights is part of their agenda. And their agenda is More White Babies!
That's to be expected; sometimes I really hate men, too.
sometimes, I really love some posts:

You compare an unborn child with insects and vermin?
I think he meant to illustrate the fact that even though an embryo or fetus is a life, we take lives all the time. So in other words, just the fact alone that an unborn child is alive doesn't constitute a valid argument against abortion.
Of course an abortion is the killing of a life, but whether or not it's the killing of a sentient life (which no doubt would vary depending on the stage of the fetuses development) is what truly makes this an ambiguous issue.

Just think of this: would you want to put a child on this world while you really dont have the motivation or energy to raise it? Nothing is worse then such children being born: the child will have no loving parents and grow up in a very tough way, without any person caring about him. The mother on the other hand is stuck with an unwanted child, and her life is never going to be the same again neither. So for both child and mother, life will have a low quality unless the child is extremely lucky that someone else voluntarely cares for him.
So I would say that every woman should have the right to abort in every single case, one should not even ask for a proper motivation. If she wants the abortion, it is her body and thus her choice which she does not have to defend or justify.
In case of rape etc I cannot understand pro-life stands. How do you want to force a child on a young girl who was raped, when this child will not only take away what remains of her worryless youth but also will remind her always of what happened? I think this is extremely harsh.
I can understand people being uncomfortable with a woman aborting just because she is not feeling like having a child after unsafe sexual adventures. Still, it is her body, so I think the abortion should go ahead. I do think life is sacred, hence why I am so strongly against the death penalty. However, life to me begins at birth, so an unborn child is not a living person yet in my terms, hence why I consider capital punishment as murder while I consider abortion not to be a murder case.
If a mother does not want her child, that is what adoptions are for. The mother can find parents for her baby before she has it and when the baby is born, it is given to the people you choose to have your kid to adopt. Or the mother can just leave her kid at the hospital after it is born and the hospital puts it in a foster home.
