Not only do they make rainbows, but those rainbows can be photograped.

Vapour trails, or 'Contrails' have been a common occurrance since the advent of the jet-turbine engine in the 1940's. And they have been 'officially' documented in textbooks ever since.

Beck is a high-school dropout, a Scientologist, and an admitted drug abuser. Needless to say, these place his knowledge of actual scientific phenomena in a questionable light.

I should add, these are not the same as the natural 'sun dog'.

Shawn William,

To keep your posts from boring the rest of us and to keep them from scrolling off the page, please just select one of the following arguments by number to support your claims, and then post the number:
  1. "Galileo Fallacy" - Everybody laughed at Galileo, and he was right. Everybody laughs at me, therefore I must be right.
  2. "Residue Fallacy" - After all the bad data, fakes, and obvious errors are weeded out, there are still a few unexplained cases that indicate that something actually happened, and their inexplicability is proof enough of their conspiratorial origins.
  3. "Explanation by Default" - Science can't explain it, but I can, therefore my explanation must be right.
  4. "A 'Theory' is whatever I want it to be" - A theory is any body of ideas, guesses, or suspicions that require no proof or validation. Therefore, I can say whatever I want and you'd be a fool to disbelieve it.
  5. "Attacks on Inference and Deduction" - If we're restricted to only what we see directly, and to what we can conclude by disciplined inference and deduction from those observations, then we will never know very much about the world.
  6. "Be Free to Believe" - Observation by an untrained witness is much more likely to be free from restrictive facts and logic, and therefore carries more validity than anything that any scientist could prove by observation, experiment, and peer-group review.
  7. "Vagueness is the Root of Accuracy" - I don't have to provide any details to prove that I'm right. In fact, the fewer details I provide, the more accurate my claims.
  8. "Exaggeration of Uncertainty" - If science can't answer one question, then it can't answer any questions.
  9. "Buzzwords / Technobabble" - I know all the same words used by experts in their respective fields. That I use those words improperly without knowing their real meaning is irrelevant - they mean whatever I want them to.
  10. "Suppressed Evidence" - The evidence needed to prove my claims is missing, therefore it must have been redacted or suppressed, thus proving that Higher Powers are at play to keep us from knowing the truth.
  11. "Ridicule is the Ultimate Truth" - Since you don't believe what I tell you, this proves that you are too stupid to understand it, which in turn implies that you are also too stupid to know it when I call you stupid.
There, that should cover 99% of your posts.

I'll go for 2, 6, 9, and 10, please.

Again, I'm not talking about normal 'sun dogs' (parhelia).

Of course contrails have been pretty common since then, but we aren't talking about contrails, are we? There is a very big difference and it's pretty clear what that is to anyone who has a set of eyes and can go outside once in a while.

And I'm not talking about Beck, I'm talking about the fact that for this to be made into a song by a rock star as big as he is - love him or hate him - it can hardly be classed as something obscure that a minority of people wearing tin huts sit around talking about at Star Trek conventions, or whatever it is you imply.

Then explain the "big difference" between contrails and "chemtrails" in terms that even the least of us can understand.

I imply nothing. I am saying that Beck is as ignorant of the facts as any other high-school dropout, Scientologist, or drug abuser. In other words, Beck is not expert on the subject.

So, for the record, the mere fact that a song is written about a topic does not make that topic any more valid than dragons, unicorns, and faeries at the bottom of the garden.

And since you brought up the tinfoil-hat crowd, they are exactly the kind of people who pull such concepts as "chemtrails" and other urban myths out of their rectal sphincters, and then look for any reason - no matter how invalid - to believe in them.

You said water vapor doesn't cause rainbows, but it does. It condenses in the atmosphore and refracts the light, scattering the wavelengths.

In the video there's many examples of why planes are emitting something other than water vapor.. It's astounding how people keep saying that it's water vapor when, if you actually watch the video, you'll see that there are planes emitting something different.

Jet engines are not so completely different from the engines on cars and trucks - depending on the speed of the engine and torque, they may or may not burn 100% of the fuel. When planes are climbing or accelerating (the equivalent of overdrive), expect to see differences in the emission pattern.

This is especially an issue with military planes that have all kinds of special thrust modes.

Moving between layers of air also has a profound effect on cloud formation - if a plane rises or drops a few hundred feet (or even a few feet) into a different type of air mass, the patterns change dramatically.

You're telling me that if a plane drops 200 feet then the water vapor doesn't go away? you're telling me that thick contrails are randomly appearing now more ever then they used to, after they've normally practiced making them put out invisible contrails as someone mentioned?
Don't you think that's backwards technology?.. they have the power to make invisible contrails, someone already said this. I didn't say it, someone else did.

Look, it's pretty simple. This is happening now way more than ever before, and one only need to look at photos from the past, and compare them to photos of today, and there are checker boards in the sky, there never used to be, because planes never used to do this.. water vapor goes away eventually. The chemtrails stick, and stay, and they come in groups.. they dont show up one at a time, they come in groups..

Simon says add 2+2.. that's how simple this is. If you seriously want to debate this further then you have serious problems..

the issue, once again, is NOT whether or not these are chemtrails!.. The issue is why, how, when, where..

Your posts get more and more out-there every day. Chemtrails are goddamned vapor trails. They're made of carbon dioxide and water vapor. The reason why they're dangerous is because they contribute to global warming, not because the Illuminati/New World Order/Elders of Zion/Opus Dei/Jesuits want to kill us all.

Seriously, what's easier to believe: those trails are just vapor trails produced by airplanes, or some sinister group is spraying chemical agents to kill us all? Occam's Razor, dude.

I think that's pretty obvious, if you'd read a thing anyone had written. If you need me to explain the difference I really don't think you're qualified to comment, let alone be so dismissive?

Again, I'm not talking about Beck. It would be exactly the same as if the song was a song by Metallica or the Rolling Stones or the Ting Tings or Mariah Carey, or anyone else in between. It's become well enough known for a superstar to write a song about it. That's the point. You're being deliberately obnoxious now.

I should also point out that he's not trying, claiming, or anything else to be an expert on the subject, and again, just to reiterate, in case this wasn't clear enough the first two times I've said it (because you tend to need to repeat things on here since you don't actually read people's posts), neither did I say he did. Stop attributing words to people they've never said. He's written a pop song. It has lyrics. These are they:

I can’t believe what we’ve seen outside
You and me watching the jets go by
Oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oooh, oh

Down by the sea so many people’ve
Already drowned
You and me watching the sea full of people
Try not to drown

So many people, so many people
Where do they go?
You and me watching the sky full of chemtrails
That’s where we can float

All I can take from these skies is fog
And all I can see in this light are boats sinking
Oh, oooh, oh
Oh, oooh, oh

Down by the sea
Swallowed by evil they’ve already drowned
You and me watching the sea full of people
Who’ve already drowned

So many people, so many people
Where do they go?
You and me hit by a test of white evil rain
Watching the jet planes go by

You and me watching
You and me watching
Chemtrails form swelling behind
That’s what I mean when we got in the slipstream
We’re climbing a hole in the sky

As for pulling things out of proverbials, there's no need - look up. Seriously. Look up. Plain as day.

The gubbermint does a lot of things badly, but they are good at keeping secrets. To date, no one knows how Chobham armor is made or exactly how the B-2 Spirit hides itself.

So why do they bombard people with super secret New World Order 'chemtrails' (whose purpose and composition you have yet to identify) in broad fucking daylight?

Oh and Beck sucks btw

For the love of God, I have never mentioned the New World Order, and especially not in this thread! Get over this putting words in people's mouths and using your imagined ideas of what people say to 'insult' them. It's extremely tiresome to say the least and does not in any way contribute to a healthy discussion!!

And once again, I AM NOT COMMENTING ON BECK.
