One with this misconception that Judaism is any more than a religion/culture.

You sound just as bad and as jingoistic as previous groups of supremacists and it's obvious through the actions of your country (just as it was through theirs....lest we forget).

Hitler and his buddies killed or kicked out the Jews. Some came here (to the U.S.). Question: who got the A-bomb first despite a two year lead in Germany? Hmmm. Hummm? The reason we beat the Germans is because our Jewish scientists were better than their Jewish scientists. The Manhattan Project was an example of a Jewish cottage industry which made nuclear weapons.

A person doesn't need to sympathize with "terrorist eliminationalist" regimes in the Middle East in order to think that van Creveld's words were not terribly diplomatic.

Whoever wrote the article was misquoting Israeli sources. this would not be the first time. A likely scenario was that he took van Creveld's words out of context, and even lifted them from another article.

It is highly doubtful that van Crewald spoke to anyone writing this piece of junk.

Ridiculous premise. Many countries have the nuclear capability of wiping out the entire human race--and hence themselves as well.

The idea is that Israel would wipe out Europe in the way of a genocide bomber . Highly unlikely for Israel. But a Terrorist Elimination regime like Iran, espousing a Culture of Death, would do this, and not care if they themselves would die, for to do so would ensure every Iranian martyred male would have his 72 virgins. It is unclear, however, what the Iranian women and children would get. Maybe they are just collateral damage.

This is a new term to me. Can you define it?

Termination terminology topic

Terrorist Eliminationist regimes are those who espouse eliminating populations that are threatening to them. From Daniel Jonah Goldhagen's recent book Worse Than War:Genocide, Eliminationism, and the Ongoing Assault on Humanity (2009) To paraphrase Goldhagen,, countries such as Iran, espousing Political Islam and its Culture of Death, pursue a campaign of eliminationist strategies against Muslims and nonMuslims alike by calling for jihad, mass violence and mass murder. This is done by so called 'suicide' bombers, Afghan insurgents, Hamas, and AlQuaeda terror groups.

Scary stuff.

Those examples are fairly small scale operations though, in comparison to what an entire nation with a professional military and nuclear missiles could do, and in the case of Iran, also what they would do.

As someone of Jewish ancestry I am horrified at the persistent declaration of a good many Jews that they are, in effect, a master race. The behavior of Israel in this context, with the excuse and abuse of the suffering of the Holocaust to give them license to behave with total unfeeling towards suffering people and vicious cruelty in the name of national domination pleading self defense (which is the cry of all aggressively oppressive regimes) turns me off totally. I am ashamed.

An interesting documentary made by an Israeli filmmaker. It's really weird to see just how brainwashed the Israeli citizens are to perceive everyone as hating them. It's no wonder this inbred paranoia spawns such thinking that basically amounts to race/culture supremacy delusions and the insular xenophobic problems that come from it.

How is that different than the nuclear standoff of past years? Culture of Death is much more ingrained in American culture than Islamic. Collateral Murder video is a prime example of that, rather less the high murder rate and high level of violence in TV and movies. If you want to say about 72 virgins; how is that any different than the Christians believing in Heaven? All soldiers are told that what they're doing is right and good and if they die, they're going to Heaven. Suicide bombers are more a result of a lack of technology than it is a religious thing. If they had attack drones or the kind of missiles that Americans have, I'm sure they'd skip the suicide bombing. But it's one of their few weapons available to them: crude bombs and sacrificing yourself to try and help your political side win and try to push out the foreign invaders.

Terrorism Elimination sounds like a propaganda term to try and paint one side as more evil than the other. Which is ironic considering the history of the evils that Israel has wrought on the Palestinians and how much they dehumanize them to the point of not even acknowledging their right to the land.

You won’t argue that Germans are, or that they don’t have the right for nuclear weapon, or to self definition, even though they caused two world wars and before, when they were still one of Earth’s most primitive people, led humanity to the middle ages. You spoke a lot about how Israel, small country surrounded by enemies, has no natural resources and can’t trade with almost the entire Islamic world, and suffer severe demographic problem is a primitive backward country with no technological abilities.
