It serves saving me a lot of continued eye strain while scanning and missing it, and I thank you!

The nasty-viewed people [or is it nasty-viewing people?] don't need Christianity. They will reach for whatever is handy - democracy, Americanism, multiculturalism, peace, whatever - and turn it into a stock for their Green Monkey gun. The ones who poked at me on the assumption I was gay [all you had to be in those days was a bit weird and not visibly drooling over Playboy] had no Christian message. They were young enough not to NEED a theoretical excuse.

Anyway, one appreciates any absence of bashing.

Thank you. I appreciate that.

Would you mind expanding on what you mean?

What I keep hearing is that only one side of any debate upon the topic of homosexuality is allowed to provide their perspectives, at least from the former moderators DW and Lee it sounds like that. What is the official stance?

The funny thing is, I can cope with you posting your views on homosexuality. No matter how disgusting I think they are.
The problem that I had was that I didn't feel that I was free to fight back.
In my opinion, if you want to post views that can be seen as homophobic, then people who disagree with your views should be free to fight back. Sadly that has only resulted in edits from mods, and threats of legal action from you.

I don't even care to be posting about my views on homosexuality, I just also don't care to have people insult me by calling me a "latent homosexual".

As when you came here trolling or do you mean at some other time somewhere else?

Please define your perception or view of "fight back", and please try to do so with this reflected:

Attacking an opinion, belief or philosophy is acceptable, but attacking the person making the comments is not.

Whoa! Said allegation is only against one since-retired mod, yours truly, a new friend as I see things, and those "edits" was only one, as I recall, turning alleged "idiots" back into "people".

Please, B'flies, please do not go back to all of that stuff above the line you had drawn as we all began anew.

If my two cents mean anything I think iamnotaparakeet should be allowed to voice his views on homosexuality. Free speech wins.

What do I mean? I don't have a meaning for it, it was the terminology of the I^2 group not mine.

And there you go inflaming a conversation that was coming to a peaceful resolution. I do not believe that there is any grounds for calling Butterflies a troll.

If you're that bothered about people insinuating that you may be a latent homosexual that you threaten to sue them, then surely it would have been better not to have got involved in a discussion about homosexuality in the first place.
Considering the things that you said about homosexuality, surely it must have been obvious to you that some people were going to make insinuations about your sexuality.
Surely you also understand that if you then go threatening to sue those people who make the insinuations, other people will find it funny and make more insinuations.

She has already voluntarily admitted that publicly here on WP ...

Your statement makes absolutely no sense!

I had only asked whether or not she was referring to the recent incident here.

Define "fight back". I don't see any of the mods (or anyone else here) having a problem with arguing with someone about their views on homosexuality, the problem comes with personally attacking them in order to "punish" them for their beliefs. There is a world of difference between arguing with someone over a personally held opinion and making suggestions about their own sexuality, impersonating them or people close to them in order to humiliate them, or otherwise taking actions solely designed to harm or cause duress to the other poster. Everyone has the right to their opinions, the right to pursue vendettas against people with whom we disagree is not so protected.

I didn't get into the conversation, Volodja brought it into one of my threads and just kept saying it similar to the character of Weston in C.S. Lewis' Perelandra in which Weston kept saying, "Ransom!" and when Ransom replied, Weston said "Nothing." and then a few moments later said "Ransom!" yet again, continuing this cycle ad infinitum.
