Only the government should own guns. They will protect us.

Cute girl. But being that I'm an Aspie and all, I'm not sure if I'm to take your statement on face value, or if you're expressing sarcasm. :?

You miss the point. The government either can't or won't protect us.

For the most part, I think they do.

I'm pretty sure the statement about only the government should have guns to protect us was sarcasm.
The picture of the blonde, hottie that she is, represents the stereotypical clueless blonde.

I guess I can't be surprised that you think the government loves and protects us.

Most people don't have complaints.

They've given up complaining out of sheer futility.

They've given up complaining out of sheer futility.

Really? I think most Americans can go to bed feeling safe against terrorist attack - let alone foreign invasion.

"Only the government should own guns. They will protect us."
I was thinking that meant the police protecting us as individuals instead of us doing it for ourselves.
And before you go there; the police do not and can never protect the individual. Any cop that's honest will tell you you're pretty much on your own most of the time.

I don't recall ever writing that only the government should own guns. I just said they did a decent job in protecting us.

Raptor,
I do not think that any cop will tell you that protecting yourself is a waste of time. I think that they will tell you that they contribute to your safety.

There's no point appealing to those events as a reason to need private firearms, because they would not have been stopped them.

However, the US government has stopped other terrorist attacks. You just don't hear as much about them, because they didn't happen.

Seems to me that the government wants bad things to happen so people complain and yell for help then they turn innocent people into criminals. They knew about pearl harbor and 911 before it happened they could have stopped these tragedys but let them happen to sway public opinion. The goverment is little more than a mass of lying greedy thieving and ingnorant psychopaths doing anything to keep in power and control. Gun laws are just a small part of their attempts to make us more and more dependent on a broken and corrupt system that destroys innovation and new ideas. Just the same storys all through out history guess people just dont care to listen when they finally do though we can deal with real problem instead of the dumb dumb problems we forced to focus on as if they deserve any real attention or thought.

Any evidence for any of that?
