Profits go to the owner or shareholders. Employees have no ownership interest or rights. To do this, you would have to degree that either employees are automatically owners in something they have not invested their own money into (they are a resource, not an investor) or that you cap the percentage of profit the owner/shareholders may earn so the rest goes to the workers. The latter disincentives the whole reason for investing or starting your own business.

Profit sharing has existed for quite some time. It isn't about equally dividing the profits among the workers; it is about a certain percentage of profits being distributed to the workers. Reserving 10% of the profits as a profit sharing incentive does not make employees owners. It is a disincentive to stakeholders in the current economic environment of screw your workers as much as you can get away with to maximize profits for wealthy investors.
