I don't believe it because I have not been brainwashed to find excuses for the gross injustices being committed by its adherents in the name of Islam.

This compares to me how western society used to operate 200 to 300 years ago. So I view it as just that, a massive step backwards.

In theory, they are identical on being rather sh***y to human beings, as judged by modern values. The fact is Islam was copied largely from Judaism.

I think the religions believe in human rights.

Some of their practitioners don't, though.

One of the best on human rights would probably be the Quakers.

You'd be surprised how much of the American system is based on Quaker beliefs.

If there was a Quaker church/meeting in my area, I'd think about going to it at least on occasion.

I have some interesting info on Quakers.

Quaker origin confectionery companies:

Cadbury
Rowntrees
Fry

They believed that drinking chocolate would get people off booze during the Temperance movement.

Quaker origin Banks:

Barclays (7th largest bank ATM)
Lloyds (the bank not to be confused of LLoyds of London Insurance market).

The people committing gross injustices in the name of Islam are misguided... for instance... stoning a woman to death for being raped? not part of shariah... cutting off the hand of a thief? part of shariah.... committing terrorist attacks? not part of shariah... stoning adulterers to death? part of shariah

and the hand of a thief is only cut off if the thief stole something of great value, and was not stealing out of desperation... as for adultery... i dont see why you would defend a crime like adultery

You must not be aware that the Bible calls for the death of witches and homosexuals, and do not let the disabled to enter a church. And considers rape an offense punishable by a mere fine and marriage to the victim.

who said I was quoting the Bible? I'm referring to Islam... and in Islam, the disabled ARE allowed to enter a mosque, and rape is punishable by death, with no punishment or marriage to the rapist for the victim..... and no, 4 eyewitnesses are not required...
