If Cruz is an natural born citizen of the United States then was Winston Churchill?

There's this image I posted in the other thread Prince Hashim of Jordan under this new definition of what it apparently means to be a natural born citizen could run the presidency of the US.

It's insane and obviously not what I founders intended, they did in fact discuss the very topic and they stressed the importance of being born in the United States. What was the whole deal with Obama, are you trying to say it doesn't even matter if he was born in Kenya?

Ted Cruz is not eligible to run for the presidency of the United States, he is Canadian.

I would like to know what your deductible amount is and how much you pay into the plan. I would also like to know where to find the plan that you are on. I have had experience with Obamacare and experience with employer healthcare plans. Anyone who is in favor of Obamacare should have no qualms about sharing this information if they are indeed in support of this type of health insurance. I have no problems telling what I pay into my plans and what my deductible is.

Other than for glasses, or dental care beyond cleaning, fillings, etc, everything else is covered. I have to come up with fifty dollars for a new pair of glasses.

Obama was born in a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. To an American citizen mother and a British subject father.

Cruz meets the definition of being a citizen. So does Rubio.

Let's quit all this birther nonsense. Save it for when there's a REAL question whether somebody's a citizen.

He's the liberal side of the arguments. Raptor's the conservative side. I bet they would be great friends should they meet. I don't think they dislike each other. I just think each wants to get the upper hand on the other.

Cruz is American. He was born to an American citizen mother.

You don't have to be born on American soil to be a citizen.

If Obama was born in Kenya, he'd still be an American citizen--because his mother was an American citizen. Ironically, he would also have been a British subject because his father was Kenyan, and Kenya was a British protectorate in 1961, when Obama was born.

It's more complicated than you think, Mr. K. It's not just whether your Ma is an American Citizen.

Well, we do need a new full time PPR troll. We had one before but he seems to have disappeared.
Do I hear any nominations??

Why I nominate you, Mr. R. Your kind of trolling gives trolls a good name.

My dad's people back in the 19th century had come from a region of southwest Germany called the Kraichgau, which during the Napoleonic era had been divided between Baden and Wurttemberg, and is today northwestern Baden-Wurttemberg. The people there are still distinguished from their neighbors to the south who speak Swabian/Alemannic dialects, as the Kraichgauers still speak a south Franconian dialect. It's in memory of where my dad's side of the family had come from.

This is the problem with Americans now - they don't question anything - they just accept. It's no wonder everything is so out of control - no rules are followed like they are supposed to be. A US President should only be an American Citizen and it should go exactly by the book. Any questions about a presidential candidate being a US Citizen should be thoroughly checked out.

so Winston Churchill could of been president of the United States? Prince Hashim of Jordan?

Ted Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Not on American territory like military base or embassy but straight up Canada in the Canadian health system where his father was a Canadian citizen. His mother was the voting rolls in Canada, Ted is Canadian and it is radical redefinition to call him a natural born citizen.

Obama had issues producing his birth certificate, we had Ted's and he is Canadian.

I honestly believe that if there any doubts as to their American citizenship, that Cruz and Rubio wouldn't have bothered running. I think they know the rules better than most of us do.

It's better to battle based upon the issues alone. All this other stuff is gravy.

I read what you sent me, Angela. Cruz' mother was in America for at least five years, two of which was when she was 14 years or older.

Darn, I have homework to do.

PS: Still waiting on those people who have Obamacare to give me some numbers; otherwise, I take it that they know its a crappy plan and they don't want the truth getting out.

Churchill chose the British subject route, based upon his father's family. He was a British subject based upon his father. No doubt about that.

You kidding, dude? Mr. Aw set the precedence on how you can get away with being a US President without being a citizen - people just don't want to listen to the truth.

When it comes to Cruz (or any candidate - even Trump), if they are not a US Citizen then they should be out. It seems we are a nation of laws that we don't seem to be following.
