It's pretty funny to read bizarre, messy and violent, considering Europe's history. It's only been since the latter 20th century they've managed to live in civility with each other. No doubt thanks the America's involvement in WWII.

I'd rather have Europe's "free" healthcare system, than Obamacare at roughly $10,000 per year including the deductible.

I mean are the taxes for European free healthcare in excess of the equivalent of $10,000 per year?

I think Europe and Canada and Australia are mighty fortunate, whilst most Americas remain screwed.

the rest of the civilized world insures broad-based uniform funding for health care/universal care via centralized taxation. in amuurica we do it the opposite way, the most perverse way imaginable, by saying to the disposable working class, "tough beans, go away and die quickly" and to the underclass "you must go to the ER which is the most expensive kind of care, but we won't bill you because we know we can't squeeze blood from your turniphood" - and to the middle class, "and YOU will pay for it ALL!" what I find that nobody has any answer for, is why the working class is made the scapegoat here?

Healthcare was bankrupting people before ACA, not only were rates climbing, the benefits would often cap when someone truly needed it, leaving them to pay large hospital bills.

Insurance companies routinely deny claims, even small ones. It saves them money, and they know it would be too much of a hassle for most people to make them pay up. I'd love to see more politicians stand up to health insurance companies. Honestly, if they can't thrive as an industry without cheating, then perhaps the state should take over.

Why do American leftist think Europe is Shangri-la? It's like they don't read the news, it's not a paradise by any stretch of the imagination nor are they any morally superior than anyone else. Is it a grass is always greener thing, are there a lot of Europeans that want to be more like Americans?

...Well , I'll even opin that some Jewish persons ~ which I assume he is (not just the name) admit to a , handed down from their parents/grandparents/whatever , feeling uneasy around parts of America that are seen as potentially/tending toward , anyway , anti-Semitism . (Especially who are descendant from those who escaped from , or narrowly came close to having to escape from , Hitler's Shoah ~ or other organized anti-Jewish movements , I suppose .)
That doesn't mean , obviously , that every such person is anti-Jewish , of that a person literally thinks that , but such feelings do exist ~ as noted by this non-Jew , one generation removed from being considered Southern , person !
He is admitting to his non-logical feelings - Might some Trump supporters have non-logical feelings ? Would they try to get an article out of it ?
If so , could they sell it ?
