I do not think you are making up the existence of 60 Minutes Australia, I just don't give them much credibility.

Why? 'Because they reported something you don't like? Why would they be less credible than the American one? If you watch the entire video it's not even their reporting that is the most interesting part but rather them getting attacked in broad daylight which I feel like speaks for itself. Sweden projects a false image of itself around the globe, I don't how bad that is in Canada but the left in this country basically spanks it to the Scandinavian welfare state and the false belief that they are 'socialists'. Sweden is a small country and letting in hundreds of thousands of refugees from backward hostile cultures is going to have a real effect. The extent of the problem in Sweden and elsewhere in Europe seems to be swept under the rug for political reasons, like the problems in this country by common people are so often dismissed it seems to be the same in Europe.

How does one civilize uncivilized people? Some people find the very question offensive and don't believe there are any 'uncivilized people' but does anybody actually believe that is true?

The number used in that 60 Minutes segment was that only like 500 of out 180k+ refugees that have been allowed entrance into Sweden in the last couple years are working, that's an astonishing and horrifying number. What I've been told is that many of these migrants work illegally under-the-table which is not okay either but it seems like a good portion of them are just completely idle living off the Swedish welfare state.

60 Minutes and 60 Minutes Australia are not the same thing. It took me only a second to realize you had referenced the wrong source. This is the sort of sloppy thinking that is leading to the current chaos.

That's exactly the problem, we can't even talk about the issues of integration and assimilation without being cast as the worst kind of racist or xenophobe. Islam is not a race by the way and one can stop being a Muslim any time they want(not really, since basic tenets of the faith is that apostates should be killed), I do not believe in absolute 'religious freedom' because that can justify any barbarity. What is so confusing is that you probably would agree on that point if I was talking about oppressive Evangelical Christians, do you think they are entitled to absolute religious freedom?

Saying a group of people is uncivilized or barbaric because of their beliefs is abhorrent. Describing one person who does something horrible as barbaric is okay. The difference is that in one case a group of people is being disparaged because of belief or ethnicity, but in the second case one person is being judged based on their own behaviour. In the first instance you are judging all people in a group based on the behaviour of only some.

What else would you call uncivilized or barbaric besides beliefs? Pretending it's just a problem with individuals is wrong, there are fundamental differences between Islamic and Western civilization that need to be addressed for the to be integration/assimilation. What do you think about immigrants who have no intentions of assimilation? The creation of ethnic enclaves has been a good thing, it's a recipe for future conflict. Genital mutilation, ritual slaughter, niqabs are uncivilized but we are to tolerate them because of religious freedom? Do you think it is abhorrent to call the Islamic State or Saudi Arabia uncivilized or barbaric? People can change and I think those that truly want to live and take refuge in our countries should be willing to make sacrifices and assimilate into the shared culture otherwise they can stay where they're at.

No-one elected Bannon, and his history does give many people very great concern. They didn't vote for him. Trump is a showman, not a politician, certainly not a statesman, and the danger is that he will continue as the showman playing to his audiences while relying on Bannon as source of the policy and strategy. Bannon is scary, and if that's whining, well so be it and I hope people don't become complacent about this Rasputin-like menace.

I don't have a problem with anybody that assimilates, I think that's beyond just opposing honor killings and genital mutilation however but there are plenty of good people were born into something they don't actually support. Most US Muslims are very assimilated but that's because of how they got here, most Muslims immigrants in the US are professionals who came here for the American dream while leaving their old world behind. You start having problems when you start bringing unskilled immigrants and refugees, the Somalian refugee population in the US is a textbook example. People don't really understand the scale of what has been done to Europe, if the US would be bringing in like over 5 million refugees in one year that would be the equivalent of what has happened in Germany. 5 million would be more than like all the Italians that ever immigrated to the US and it would be in one year. I do not support mass immigration, I believe it has to be metered and that is in the best interest of the vast majority of the American people. Special interests and those that want cheap labor should not be controlling our immigration. I hope the problems we see in Europe never find their way to our shores.

So saying aspies are fakers is the same as saying aspies are mass murders to you? To me one is very extremely worse. I'd much rather be accused of faking then accused of being a genocide murder in the waiting, who should be disarmed and treated as a criminal. But right now it's the left media going all out calling disabled people all potential mass shooters who now thanks to the ssa gun grab being stopped will go out and commit hundreds or thousands of mass shootings. Despite no one on ssi or ssdi having ever done a mass shooting or much violence at all.

Are you so biased that you don't have any concern for the media and left betraying disabled people as violent murders plotting their mass shooting events? I'm almost terrified to leave my house after watching th media and reading comments on the videos. The way people are talking about us. Like well our completely crazy and exist in our own world unable to even manage pooping in a toilet. It's completely insulting. This from the so called social justice warriors, so called don't judge a book by its cover, so called everyone's independent and stereotypes are wrong. This goes in the face of everything they supposedly stand for. It's a total upfront to equality. But it would seem the disabled are seen as nothing but a sub human punching bag to either side. At least republics stood up for what was right in this case. Thanks to the NRA, ACLU and other dis ability advocacy groups. Sorry if I'm upset but I don't get why you defend the media and left. I'm not right leaning. And right does wrong with regards to welfare, and abortion issue. Why can't you say , you know what this is wrong, what the left is doing here is wrong. Doesn't mean their wrong about everything if this was wrong. Time after time you defend them when they're wrong. Mean if all those groups and majority of mental doctors say this is wrong this mistreats disabled people based in a horrible stereotype. How can you possible defend the left media on this issue?

I never said anything of the sort - I just pointed out that liberals aren't the only ones who think we're a bunch of psycho killers.
And yes, denying that autism is real is in fact dangerous, as education for autistic children could be cut to further ensure tax cuts for billionaires. I have an eleven year old daughter with autism taking special classes in school that could otherwise be cut.

The only reason to bring it up is to defend the left. You still keep avoiding the issue.

The flaw I see in that reasoning is that means the Ku Klux Klan can only be judged one member at a time, rather than as a whole.

Whereas if you have to judge the KKK as a whole based on their beliefs, ideology, what their leaders say and atrocities they've committed in the name of all that... Then it can be equally applied elsewhere.

It seems like the deciding factor in this sort of thing is skin color. Since Russians are white, there's no problem being "phobic" of them. But being phobic of a Middle-East country? Oh no you can't do that because they aren't white, so that automatically means one is racist.

No, only individuals are. Just as there are individual right wingers who refuse to believe autism is even real, and want to end all special education for autistic kids.
