That "islamophobia" is a word specifically invented as a smokescreen to not only silence legitimate criticism of a deranged and authoritarian ideology, but to elevate such criticism to be equivalent to hate and prejudice on the basis of inborn characteristics such as ethnic origin.

I don't even have to go into extremes like the Charlie Hebdo massacre or the danish cartoon debacle (though those should be plenty illuminating), I'll take the more recent example of Icelands proposal to ban genital mutilation of infants. Apparently, a modern muslim life in Iceland would be impossible if the bodily integrity of all infants were to be protected by law. Can you guess which word was shouted the loudest to get this proposed law shut down?

Hatred of Islam, not hatred of muslims. Muslims are people. People have rights. Islam is an ideology.

One thing I admire about muslims... If we had punishments like "caning" here in the US maybe we'd have less criminals. Every gangbanging punk in this country who steals, shoots, mugs, and vandalizes deserves to be stripped naked and whipped with a stick 80 times before a large crowd in my honest opinion.

Well I'm sorry but I find it very frusterating when most of the atheists I talk to are bigots too. What exactly makes them better than a religous person and gives them the right to call them an idiot and mock their beliefs?

Religous people have feelings too and I am sick and damn tired of hearing atheists talk down towards them! NOBODY has the right to look down on ANYBODY!

Delightful hypocrisy. You say you hate people twisting your words, but then you equate Atheism to Nihilism, pretend atheists are on some crusade of forced conversion and even though you're the one who started this thread throwing s**t at atheists (not even atheism, mind) you're somehow the poor victim here? I don't think believing in a religion makes someone an idiot. There's tons of reasons people are religious, from comfort to them being raised in a certain religion.

With that being said though, I've seen idiotic people who also happen to be religious. That's different from saying that they're idiotic because they are religious. But there's idiotic athiests, too.

Actually I think you should go ahead and lock it.
