Next in the series:

How Demonizing "Maleness" Spreads Male Sexism
How Demonizing "Straightness" Spreads Straight Homophobia
How Demonizing "Wealth" Spreads Wealthy Capitalism

[/satire]

It's generally much more fun and limbicly gratifying to not follow the plot. In that sense I'm not surprised that people do this, in fact I'm more surprised when most people in a thread choose to pay attention and follow along to the best of their ability.

I take back what I said earlier. White male heterosexual Christian privilage is VERY real.

Doesn't that seem counterintuitive and illogical that white people who came up with concepts like white privilege, socialism, communism etc are infact white themselves and would hardly be acting against their own self-interest. In other words it's pure BS as the highest level.

It does not seem counterintuitive and illogical it is counterintuitive and illogical. That is the frustrating part. The descriptions "self hating", "internalizing" "masochists" seem to apply.

But I don't see evidence of "self-hate"? they hate bad things done in the by past white people - there is a difference

To me, it’s a method of seeing why racial disparities exist instead of having an explanation that stems from racism.

Getting at the “whys” is an important part of the process of overcoming such disparities.

The current generation is now far removed from the history that created the social divisions that release these tensions leading to flashpoints like Charlottesville.

On the one hand minority groups are highly sensitive and over-reacting to anything done to a black person. Take for example Md Noor the black Minneapolis cop who shot dead a white woman and was given 12.5 yrs jail. A lot of black Americans are protesting to release Noor yet Noor's crime is a classic reversal or roles and really the protestors should be sympathetic to the victim as the circumstances under which she died is exactly what the BLM movement has been protesting about for some years (yet there is no solidarity or empathy for the victim's family). The issue is blurred by race.

White people can't remember what it was like for blacks in the 1960s and are unable to fathom (and frankly care) for the social obstacles faced by blacks trying to break through the glass ceilings to get equal parity. This happens in Australia as well where our left leaning "labor party" (the democrat equivalent) is often accused of protecting minority rights at the expense of the majority.

White privilege exists but I think it's too complicated and not relevant to white voters who are more concerned over putting bread on the table and paying of debts. Coupled with unconcious bias I think we have a long way to go...

That’s why I think it’s beneficial to have friendships with people from diverse backgrounds.

My first boyfriend was black. We lived in a town with a lot of racial tension, so we talked about this sort of stuff a lot - frequently, in a very unPC fashion.

It just made me much more aware of certain things than I had been before.

I knew what it was like for black people in the 1960s. I was alive then.

Yeah my wife is south Asian but she's a lot more philosophical about this stuff than I am.

Were you black then, too?

I knew what it was like----because they told me what it was like. And I saw what it was like.

You'll have to accept that. And if you don't...then so be it!

Personally, i think that Bush explained at one of his Elite Charity Dinners the main two categories of class or segregation.
In his own words "The haves and the have not's"

Perhaps the rest of the categories are just the poor folk trying to work out who to blame for their suffering, and in some cases, problem solving among some well meaning socio-political economists who are attempting to cure the world of its ills.

The problem is, the world is very complex, with billions of individuals all alive and working towards various aims.
At this point in time, it is hard to manage the world.

Perhaps a possible future with the advent of new technology will allow for the world to eventually be connected, and for some form of agreement be made among all people. Who knows.

Personally, i think that if the human race eventually got organised, and say for example in the future, started to populate different planets.

People could then choose to live on a world that is sympathetic to their political view.
And hopefully not cause a wars between worlds.

The video was short and not so sweet.

Collective guilt of "whiteness"?
Charming.
Society seems to be regressing. 8O

Could the stupid people of the world stop procreating for a second?
Dumb question.
Reproducing is what stupid people do best.

SURVIVAL OF THE THICKEST The West is getting DUMBER because clever people no longer have more kids than stupid folk, shock research claims

Controversial study indicates that our overall level of intelligence may be decreasing for the first time in more than 1,000 years

THE overall intelligence of the West is dropping because clever people aren't having as many babies as they once did - while stupid people are breeding and thriving like never before.

That's the shock claim made in a new piece of research which argues that an ancient process which has seen "European-derived populations" on both sides of the Atlantic become smarter and smarter with every generation has gone into REVERSE. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/4046838/t ... ch-claims/
