Here’s a big one:

America is bordered by Mexico, Canada, and the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Alaska and Hawaii are unattached but still American states. Alaska is basically a part of Canada, and the group of Hawaiian Islands are practically viewed as its own country altogether.

Countries are weird and somewhat arbitrary, given the vastly diverse cultures in some of them. Adopting a worldview is, perhaps, more helpful.

Yes. Even a much smaller country like South Africa is just as diverse and contains a multitude of cultures. One part of the country can be vastly different to another. It's a fascinating place for a visit.

Then, on a micro-level, each culture contains diverse individuals with diverse personalities, beliefs, and opinions.
