because you blindly trust religion when you do not "own" that religion, you do not have any control over that religions purpose, all you see is good as a worshipper, try becoming a prophet or archbishop whatever, it will get more complicated i bet

i don't like the label atheist as it shouldn't exist, religious people must of created it to stereotype a normal person not born into religion

being an atheist (or whatever the hell you wanna call it, i'd rather say a "human being")
i realise i govern myself, yes der, i still have morals, but i try to see life as it is,
that by however the means we where created,
we were created to support our own purpose
and when we lose our heart and soul (metaphorically, not physically)
then we choose to believe whatever is on offer

i have looked into religion, i can understand why people fall into it, but i have not willfully or blindly accepted it, until religion can be a thing of the past, THEN i know no-one is profiting from its deceptive-ness today

it's soo hard to explain but religion and cults have a bad and ugly past, it is pure logic why people WOULDN"T want it around no more, whether you like it or not, getting rid of religion is the best way to stop the cycle of bad things happening regarding/concerning religion, it's simple instinct with intelligence...

You can't reform religion or politics until you can reform the hearts and minds of men. And that's why Jesus Christ is still around. I say you are willfully blind to all the good things about faith and religion. Believe you me I know all about the bad things, so don't presume to lecture me on them. :shameonyou:

can you accept the fact that some people "mentally" cannot accept religion along with it's extremes and overglamourisation?
what you have to understand is willfully you only accept half of your religion, you haven't acepted the other half that goes hand in hand(satanism, because truely each religion pushes its anti faith stereotype propaganda), please think about it, religion has been around for alot longer than you, it's method has not changed, therefore it is always going to be exploited to assist bad things happening

thats why i hate religion, it's method is evil yet it's effect is too important to alot of people to get rid of, the fact is your dealing with either a future of Atheism or Religion, we will always argue because we are on opposite sides, or at least have a bais, what im trying to say is religion is only truely helpfull if it has totall control, same with Atheism, 1 religion is born to clash with another

but i'd prefer Atheism to win as you don't not have to pass it on to your next of kin out of culture etc
Atheism really isn't a factor against religion, it simply represents people who cannot accept religion (religion is too complex as a whole, historically and when physically used for whatever means)
religion is always re written by so called prophets which always "corrects" the historical "mistakes" and contradictions it makes
religion was made in a time where science was considered "magic"
religion tries to defeat nature/instinct and logic
religion provides unconditional love to criminals who confuse themselves to believe in god, believing in god only to believe in ultimate forgiveness
religion questions other beliefs and tries to dominate over them

religion is a lie pushed way too far, people have been known to pose as jesus or similar, how do we know Jesus wasn't just mixed up in a conspiracy aswell and he just did what he thought is right? (as a normal human, with morals, not LAWS or COMMANDMENTS)

More lies. For some perverse reason, a lot of athests grow stronger in their anti-faith by reading by the Bible.

because I and many can see the overall picture of religion, it was designed with supremacy/domination in mind, you are only offended and are calling me a liar bluntly because you have PRIDE in religion, anything you do, you put pride into it, it's unaviodable, plus you are running out of reasoning, meaning you will probably start getting annoyed by each of my posts, you are a contradictive critic, at least i can blame myself and accept the truth when i admit im a critic and contradictive aswell, at least i don't believe on attacking someone else who is made up of the same nature.....

religion exists to fight the evil it creates and portrays, it is known america has used this portrayal of "terrorism" etc

there must be some great benefits to being religious, thats why people heavily protect it against criticism

More important to me than "church" or "religion" is my relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. FWIW, I do not believe God is limited to churches or temples or mosques. None of these human-made structures contain the divine essence. They are just structures, mental formations, phenomena. MY time as a Buddhist has leant me some very useful perpsectives on Christianity.

Well it's true, if you were paying attention I mentioned that Freemasonry is a tool of the 'Illuminati' family.. it goes way back to right after the original breakup of the Illuminati, Freemasonry was a result of having to remain underground, they could not continue their plans for world domination out in the open anymore because they were banned, when an emmissary for the Illuminati was riding across some plains carrying plans he was struck by lightning and the plans were discovered and that's how they became banned.. im not sure what is better, the Illuminati remaining completely in secret or out in the open.. it would be nice if the thunderbolt caused them to die for good, but it only made them more careful in the end.. but maybe God did it to fulfill the prophecy of the end times.. who really knows.

and the above levels of Freemasonry or certainly not christian, probably Luciferian which is what the main Illuminati religon is supposed to be.. they believe that God is an immoral God and that Lucifer is the good God, because he has great knowledge and does not keep secrets from man (like the apple from the tree of life.. he told them to eat it and God told the not to, and he was right, when they bit out of it they gained knowledge, which God did not want them to have) "Who told you that you were naked?" - God

not to interfere Slowmutant and AngryJesseMan, but we don't need a religious debate here do we?.. God was not meant to be proven, which is why SlowMutant cannot respond with logic.. God is not a being of logic but of conscience.. Religion has done terrible things in the world and God has said let any man who does evil in my name be condemned.. i agree that translations are wrong.. in fact i thought that it was god's will to not have them translated which would explain such misquotes and things being taken out of context left and right.. and christianity being used as a tool of evil, but not by the good by the bad ones.. there is evil in the churches nowadays no question about it.. It starts with the Catholic church and it is my theory that it is infiltrated by the Illuminati family.. i dont have nearly enough evidence for this, but it is my theory. . just look at all the pedophile priests and such and they're protected by the cloth.. they are by far the most toxic religion at this point in time, aside from Luciferian

That's okay, glad you read into it though..

As your your advice on the ghandi quote, I'm not afraid, and i hate it when people assume that i am.. im not afraid they will take anything from me, i'm not paranoid, I just flaunt this material way too often, and that's all there is to it.. so people assume im this nut who's always thinking about them.. im an obsessive person, not a paranoid one, while at times one can lead to the other.. but afraid of the illuminati i am not. Interested in them I most certainly am, because the more you learn the crazier it gets.. I always come across good information when im not on these boards when i am actually researching, so maybe ill be able to find more solid evidence.. like i said the purpose of this thread was not supposed to be to try and prove anything, but it seems that's the only way i can have a discussion here about them. I would prefer it if more people who agreed with me would post, but I guess they are few and far between.. not enough people know about them.. Ill find interviews that might be of interest.. although im not sure if there's any that you've seen yet.

Fair enough, on obsessions. I can understand why people making inferences about your character because of your interest in one subject could be irritating.

There may be more people than you think who agree. They are just afraid of ridicule. I think it is possible. Just saying that much could open the door for condescending tin-foil-hat remarks.

I happen to be one of those who is willing to consider a lot of circumstantial evidence, and at least look at a possibility. I do need some things in black and white though before I will whole-heartedly accept a theory.

glad we made that clear :thumright: .. in reality im just a guy who loves music.. this is just a subject that overwhelms me with interest.. and also necessity.. I dont know about you but i dont like being lied to by the government, and I dont want to drink water that has flouride in it, and it's these kinds of things that sparked my concern.. knowing full well that a big lie is much more easily concealed then a small one.. because people easily believe in small lies.

By the way I like this video:

of course it's nothing solid but despite the nice music there are a lot of good quotes and information in there.

It's part of a celebration of martyrdom. A common feature in Abrahamic religions.

Peaceful martrydom, yes. Nonviolent sacrifice, ie. making one's life a living sacrifice to God. This kind of martrydom, the good and noble kind, does not involve high explosives or theoretical virgins.
