Hmm...the link makes note of extraterrestials on the surface, but the rest of it makes the residents of telos sound like they are the aliens.

The people have supposedly been under Mount Shasta for 12,000 years according to the linked article, but according to the wikipedia article, Mt. Shasta is a volcano which last erupted in 1786. Wouldn't the rising magma somehow interefere with a city underneath the mountain? If there were a city underneath the mountain, it would likely be in an ancient magma chamber, and since the volcano has erupted multiple times within the past 12,000 years, that would mean that any magma chamber would've been flooded with magma.
